Chapter 36

"Let's go home please." I beg Cameron and he shakes his head.

"Not until you figure out what you want, or who you want." He shrugs and I look at him with a serious, as possible face.

"I want" I pause and he perks up with a smile, "to go home." I finish nodding and smiling.

"Katilyn." I hear, I turn and see Hayes with his hands in his pockets, Matthew then comes beside him and does the same thing, they're both so sexy.

Wait no.

"I can't just choose. It's like choosing which of my kids is my favorite." I shrug and Hayes smirks.

"Which means she likes my face, meaning she chooses me." Hayes laughs and starts to walk over to me.

"No. That is not what that means." I shake my head looking at him, he focuses his eyes on mine and gives me a look.

"Oh my god stop." I turn away and walk around the island.

"Katie, it's easy. Just say a name!" Madi yells from upstairs, we all look up there and then back to each other.

I wake up taking a huge whiff of the cool air coming through the balcony, I smile and turn over seeing him laying there.

"Hi cutie." He smiles down at me, I smile and then frown.

"We have to go home and face reality today." I pout and he chuckles.

"Yeah but at least we get to see our son." He shrugs, I smile and nod.

Wait wait wait. I know what you're all thinking. "Damn bitch you put way too many skips in your books!" I know. okay? I know. I've been gone forever and I think that deserves a little explaining, but for now! A little rewind pleaseeee!

"Hayes. I choose Hayes."  I shrug and Matthew looks at the ground, Hayes smiles and nods.

"But" I stop him from coming to me, "I do need to talk to Matthew." I nod and Matthew looks up at the mention of his name.

"Oh." He says looking surprised, I nod and he walks out when I point to the door, and I walk up to Hayes.

"I'll be back." I say wrapping my hands around his arms and eventually up to his neck.

"Don't keep this running too long." He says wrapping his hands around my hips.

"I won't, this is it. This is where I choose." I nod and he nods, I pay his cheek some attention with a short kiss and let go.

I walk out and down the hall, through the door and on the front deck, where I see Matthew looking out onto the beach.

"Hey." I let him know I'm there, he looks up and turns his head, then smiles only a little and looks down and back out.

"I'm sorry-" He cuts me off "no apologies, you don't owe me an explanation." I shake my head and walk near him.

"I don't know what else to say." I tell him honestly, he nods and looks out.

"Don't you just love it here?" He asks after about a minute of silence, I look up at him and nod, he looks down at me and I smile with only my lips.

"If we're not gonna talk." He says and I turn towards him, he take me by surprise and leans down, planting a kiss on my cheek.

"I'm always here if you need anything." I tell him, he nods coming away from my head and smiling slightly.

"Have a good life." He smiles nodding, then his face drops, "not that I'm not going to talk to you-" I cut him off laughing slightly and nodding.

"Stop I get it." I nod, he laughs with me and we hug.

"Thanks for being my first love, slash, friend, slash boyfriend, slash-" He cuts me off, "stop I get it." He mocks me pulling away, I slap his arm lightly and we chuckle.

"So this is it. This is where we end." He says looking down into my eyes, I nod and look away biting my lip.

"I'm glad you were my first love too." He says and I look back at him, he tugs a smirk and I smile looking down.

"Now go get Hayes to stop looking at us and take him away from the window." I look and see Hayes staring through the window, when he sees me look at him he runs from the curtain, I laugh and look at Matthew who is looking down at me.

I pat his arm and slide down my hand, leaving him outside, I walk inside and Hayes walks out of the living room with his hands in his pocket and acts like chill.

"So, what'd you talk about?" He asks me, I laugh and he chuckles.

"Come here you big goof." I smile, he leans down as I wrap my arms around him and we kiss.

"Yay!" Cameron and Madi exclaim, they go to high five, she misses and lands into him, thankfully he catches her, they embarrassingly chuckle and she stands up straight.

"Oh." They both say at the same time, I look at Hayes and Hayes looks at me, we shrug and kiss again.
