(Katie's POV)

"Let's just leave and go home, I'm so tired of sitting here inactively." Hayes groans playing with my fingers, I huff and get up.

"I'll see what I can do babe." I say with the fakest smile ever, he smiles cheekily and I walk out of the door and get in the elevator, I walk to the service desk and ask if he can be released, they give me an ass load of papers to sign and I hurry into the elevator with them causing me to run into someone and spill them all over the elevator floor.

"Shit! I mean crap." I say seeing a child's feet as I look up and see Cameron.

"Woah, um hi. Let me help." Cameron says leaning down and starting to help me, I look at the child then to him strangely.

"Cam, the papers aren't important. Who's this?" I say looking at the little girl making him look up and get a nervous face.

"This is, Danielle." He says standing up and looking down at her and not in my eyes making me really suspicious.

"And what are you doing here with Cameron, Danielle?" I ask her smiling, she goes to answer but the ding of the elevator cuts her off.

"Ah this is our floor, love you bye." Cameron says picking her up and kissing my cheek rushing out, a nurse and another woman block my way to follow him and they close the elevator.

That was really fishy.

The elevator stops at my floor while I finish picking up the papers and I walk to Hayes' room, he is asleep so I start signing the papers until he wakes up.

"Oh you're back, sorry I fell asleep." He says with a half smile while opening his eyes wider, I nod and finish signing them.

"I hope you're ready to leave, because I'm done here." I say smiling and patting the papers, he nods and I help him stand up, the person who hurt him injured his foot apparently and he can barely walk because he has a boot.

"You look really funny with that boot." I say with a laugh, he flips me off while he puts on his shirt and I flip him back.

"Let me go drop these off and you sit here." I say as we reach the waiting room, he nods and sits down as I walk to the desk, I place the papers in front of her and she checks over them with a sign of her signature we're ready to leave, I smile and tell her goodbye as I'm turning I see Cameron turn walking down the hall he sees me and goes the other way, I roll my eyes and walk to Hayes who is looking off in the distance.

"Hey we're ready to leave, oh and did you see Cameron, he's acting really strange." I say shaking my head, he shrugs and stands up following me to the elevators, we get in the car and go home with a stop at In-N-Out, some for us and some for the kids, once we get home I help Hayes out of the car and we go to our place.

"Hey we're back!" I sing out through the house, Madison emerges from the kitchen looking tired and a mess.

"Hey." She says with a pitiful look on her face, I feel sympathy for her as I have no clue what Cameron was doing there or if she even knows that he was there.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" I ask hinting towards the Cameron thing which she justifies by shaking her head.

"No, but I didn't get any sleep because I had to take care of four children alone." She says flopping down on the couch, Hayes gets a phone call and walks to our room and shuts the door, I walk to the front of the couch and sit down.

"I'm sorry, but hey I have some exciting news." I say with a smile, she gives me a confused look and then a go on look.

"Matthew lives in New York, has been for a while now, but he just moved into our building." I say making her even more confused, I go ahead and tell her the full story and she clicks her tongue.

"Out of all of the buildings in New York, he chooses ours." She says shaking her head, I shrug and nod.

"It does kind of make sense you saying that, there's tons of buildings in New York, but maybe he just wanted this one." I say shrugging, she shakes her head and sits up.

"Seems fishy to me." She says, I shrug and Hayes comes out of the room in a suit, I stand up as he walks over to me.

"I've got to go to the office, I'll be back in a few hours." He say kissing me, I nod when he pulls away, he rushes out of the door before I can say anything.

"Love you too." I mutter under my breath, Madison sighs standing up and scratching her head.

"Can I take a shower? I'm a mess." She says looking in our mirror, I nod and she walks back there, there is a knock at the door making me turn quickly, I walk over to it thinking Hayes forgot something and open it to see Matthew standing there with a card.

"Oh Katie hey, is Hayes home? I bought a card for him." He says playing with the card in his hand, I shake my head and invite him in.

"Why are you so gloomy?" He asks me, I shake my head and he frowns walking over to me after sitting the card down on the counter.

"Hey, talk to me." He says wrapping his arm around me and running his thumb over my cheek.

"Hey Kat-" Madison says coming out in a towel and looking up stopping herself.

"What, Matthew, hey." She says with a smile, I back away so it's not so awkward looking.

"Matthew just came over to bring Hayes a card, because he was in the hospital, because he was hurt." I say knowing I sound awkward, she nods and looks at Matthew then back to me.

"Well, I'll just go back to my shower, just act like I never came in." She says backing up and then rushing into my room making me laugh.

"She's not as spunky as she used to be, she's awkward." He says smiling and looking at me, I nod and look down at my feet.

"Seriously though, are you okay?" He ask me putting his thumb under my chin, I look up at him and he glazes into my eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I say looking away moving from his hand, he sighs looking down and looks back up not looking at me.

"I should go, I need to get to a meeting I have anyway, I'll see you around." He says giving me a half smile before leaving, I let out a huge breath and Madison peeks her head around the corner.

"I'm sorry." She says with a frown and I smile.

"You were listening, you bitch!" I laugh running at her, she runs away from me leaving me chasing her, I tackle her into the bed leaving us both laughing and out of breath.

"It feels like old times, you and Matthew, me and you." She says laying down beside me, I prop myself up with a confused look.

"What about me and Matthew?" I ask her, she shakes her head with a smirk and I lay back down smiling widely.
