Chapter 38

(Katie's POV)

-day of the wedding-

"Katie. You look beautiful!" My dad exclaims, I laugh and turn to the mirror.

"I don't know." I pause taking his smile, along with mine.

"Dad. I don't know if I can commit to him. He's Hayes! He's so loyal and me? I can't keep a guy-" He cuts me off.

"Katilyn. You love Hayes, Hayes loves you. You're getting married!" He says shaking me lightly by my shoulders jokingly, I laugh and nod.

"You're right. Cold feet. Sorry." I nod straightening out my dress, a knock on the door happens and Madison peeks in.

"Can I have a minute with the bride?" She asks and I nod lightly with a small smile, my dad smiles looking at us and walks out.

"Katie." She says, I turn and we stare at each other.

"I'm so happy for you." She smiles tearing up, I begin to tear as well, we rush into a hug and cry on each other's shoulders.

"I'm so sorry I've been mad at you." I apologize and she shakes her head pulling away.

"You had a right, don't apologize for my mistake." She chuckles wiping her tears as well as I do.

"You and Hayes are great for each other, see you out there." She says, I nod and we quick hug and she leaves.

"Katie." I hear after another knock, I know it's Hayes.

"Hayes you can't see me before the wedding." I yell over the door, I hear him chuckle making me smile.

"I know. Just needed to hear your voice." He says, I walk over to the door and smile.

"I love you Katilyn." He whispers.

"I love you more." I nod feeling a tear slip down my cheek, I smile and he smiles widely.

"I'll see you out there, Dallas." He says to me and I nod.

"Sure will, Grier." I smile, he smiles and I listen to him walk away.

(The Ceremony)

"You really ready for this?" Cameron asks me and I sigh.

"I really am Cam." I nod smiling, he looks down at me and smiles.

"You're gorgeous little sister." He smiles widely, I smile back widely and we hug.

"Now. Walk me down that aisle." I point and he laughs nodding, I take his arm and he shifts it tightly.

The music begins to play and we turn the corner, my eyes shift to Hayes and see his eyes light up, our eyes meet and he smiles before me.

He mouths "Oh my god." Making me blush and smile.

I look around at everyone and half of them are smiling and then the other half are crying.

I look down and then back up when Cameron stops, I look up at him and see tears falling from his eyes.

"Oh stop." I say beginning to cry, he hugs me and kisses my cheek.

"I love you so much." He says hugging me tightly, I nod and we pull away.

"Who is giving her away today?" The pastor asks and Cameron looks up.

"Her father and I, her brother." He smiles down at me, I smile back at him and he wipes his tears, I kiss his cheek and he hands my hand to Hayes.

"Hi." I smile, he chuckles and looks me in the eyes.

"Hey." He says back and I look down smiling.

"Vows?" He asks us, Hayes nods and looks down at me.

"Katilyn. I really don't know what I'd do without you. I'm not going to sit here and say cheesy crap the entire time, that stuffs not important. What's important is the commitment I'm going to make to you and the promise of death do us part. I'm truly lucky to have you, I hope death do us part is what you have in mind as well, so I take this ring, and place in it on your small finger, I love you." He finishes, everyone laughs a little and I do as well.

"Benjamin. Where do I even begin? You're not only my fiancé, you're my future. My whole heart. I love you so freaking much. It's sometimes unbearable. to be honest, I never thought we'd be here in the end, things always got in our way. But look at me and you. We've made it here, to this altar, on this day. I take this ring to show my promise to you, and I place it on your finger, to make sure no other girl hits on you." I wink at him, people chuckle and he laughs.

"Do you?" The pastor asks me, I look at Hayes and our eyes meet.

"I do, forever." I nod and he smiles.

"And do you?" He asks Hayes, Hayes smiles and looks at me.

"I do, always." He smiles and winks at me, I smile and laugh.

"You may now." The pastor pauses. "KISS THE BRIDE!" Everyone yells, Hayes grabs me as we laugh and dips me down kissing me.

Everyone cheers and confetti pops out of now where.

"You're now officially mine. Mrs.Katilyn Grier." He smiles when he stands me back up, I nod and we kiss again.
