Nathan Petterson
We are having a girl! I can't believe it!! I stared at the screen. Tears were starting to form in my eyes. We men don't cry very often and this right here is one of those times where we do and it's okay to admit it.
I am going to be a dad in like 4 months! We are having a little girl! She's defiantly going to be daddy's pride and joy! I was shaken from my state of shock when Allison yanked my arm. I shook my head and looked at her.
"Hmm?" I asked not fully looking at her.
"What's wrong?" Panic was clear in her voice.
I just don't know how to explain to her about how I'm feeling right now. I took a deep breath and looked at her. She had a worried look on her face. "Nothing is wrong baby. I'm just happy and I can't explain what I'm feeling." I admit to her.
Everything is quiet for a while. Dr. Thomas finally speaks, "I'll see you back in a month Allison and to both of you, congrats on having a girl!"
"Thank you Dr. Thomas!!" Allison shows her a bright and cheerful smile.
"Thank you!" I also chimed in.
"You two are very welcome! Have a lovely day!" She said before leaving the room.
I looked over to Alli and smiled. "What?" She questioned, getting all self-conscious! I shook my head. I extended my hand, to help her off of the table. She took my hand and I helped her scoot off. She's been having more problems getting up because of her belly is getting so much bigger!
Allison Hall
We made our way out to my car. Nathan helped me in. It's becoming difficult to get in or out of my car or get up from a seat. I'm not complaining though! I'm so excited about our little girl! I can't wait to meet her! I wonder who she'll look like? What personality will she have? There are just so many questions swarming throughout my head at this very moment.
"Alli?" Nathan said, pulling me away from my thoughts.
"Umm hmm." I replied.
"I'm going to run to the store to get drinks for tonight. If that's okay?" He asked.
"That's fine." I tell him.
We made it to Wal-Mart and pulled into a parking spot. Nathan ran around to my side to help me out. I hate that I have to get someone to help me get out now. I hate being dependent on others.
We got the drinks, some chips, and brownies. The others would be bringing other variety of things to the party. We also got an, "It's a girl!!" banner. I smiled at the thought! This smile will not fade from either of our faces!
Once we loaded everything into his truck, we both got in. We drove to the house and unloaded everything and started to set up. I'm quite nervous! I wonder if everyone will be happy for us?
About 2:10, I received a text from my mom.
From:
Mommy :)
Hey sweetie! Can I bring along someone? I really want for you to meet this person?
Who would she want to bring?
To:
Mommy :)
Hey mom, sure that's okay. See you around 3.
I wonder who in the world she's going to bring! I still don't know! I guess I'll just find out at 4! I sat on the couch with him straddling me, rubbing my belly. Our families wouldn't show till around 3:30-4, so we had time to be with each other.
"Hey Nathan?" I say looking at his hands rubbing circles on my belly.
"Yes baby?" He replies, setting his head on my shoulder. I could feel his hair through my top.
"Are you happy with what we're having?" I ask.
"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" He sounded slightly offended that I asked that.
"I'm just asking." I shrug my shoulders.
I turn around so that I'm facing him. I place one of my hands on his face and pull his face towards mine. I look down to his lips and then back to his eyes, before I touch my lips to his. It was just a short but sweet kiss. "I love you." I said passionately.
"I love you too." He said in the same tone as mine. Before we could even think about getting heated the doorbell rang. I let out a frustrated grunt and Nathan just laughed at me. I just glared at him while he went to the door and gestured for me to follow.
When we got to the door, my mom, brother, Lexi, Julie, Kaitlyn, and some man that I have never seen before in my life were on our door step. We opened the door and told them to come in. They all hugged me, but when it got to my mom's turn she said, "Allison, I'd like for you to meet David. He's the guy I told you about."
I looked him over and I do have certain features like him, so this is my real dad.
