Chapter: 17
Allison Hall
"David. Nice to finally meet you." I tried to sound cool, but my voice was thick. I was scared.
"You too Allison." His tone matched mine somewhat.
"You guys come in." I gestured for them to come in.
David went inside and my mom hugged me and said, "Can you please tell me what gender my grandchild is?"
I just laughed and shook my head. She sighed in defeat and went inside. Next in line was Julie.
"Hey Girl!" Julie had a huge smile plastered on her face.
I smiled back and said, "Hey!"
Julie went inside and Kaitlyn stepped up and hugged me, "Hey chick! I miss you at school! It's not the same without all of the crew!
I squeezed her and said, "Girl, I miss all of you too! Don't worry though; I get to walk with you guys!"
"Good!" She pulled away and smiled! I laughed at her and she went inside. Lexi walked over to me and hugged me. Once she released me, she went inside and my brother stepped up and kissed my cheek.
I noticed Nathan came back to the door. "You want to come in?" He asked me.
"Actually I'm going to sit right here on the steps." I shrug my shoulders, deep in thought.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah baby, I am fine." I reassure him.
"Alright. I'll be inside." He didn't sound like he wanted to leave me. I heard him sigh and walk inside.
I sat there for a little while until Mrs. Kay's Escalade pulled up. I know that Cassie and the kids got a ride with her! I can't wait to see the kids. I miss those rascals!
Phil was the first to get out. He was about to haul butt to me but, his mom said, "PHILLIP COLTON PETTERSON Stop right there!
I chuckled at the look on his face. He was in shock. "Come here buddy just be gentle!" I try and persuade him to come to me.
He took a little bit before he finally walked over to me and wrapped his hands around my neck. I lightly squeezed him. "Hey Buddy!"
