Chapter: 18

Allison Hall

My mouth dropped once I opened the door. She looks a lot like me or should I say I look a lot like her! This is crazy! I know that she was thinking the same as me, because her face held shock also. Our hair both had this natural curl to it, but most of the time I straighten mine. Her hair was just slightly darker than mine. We had the same color eyes. Her face was slightly shaped different than mine, but not by much. We practically had the same nose also, but her's was smaller than mine.

"You must be Allison." She questioned.

I just nodded and asked her, "You must be Kasey?"

"Yeah, that's me." She let out a nervous laugh. Heck, we were both nervous. This is the first time I'm meeting my half-sister.

Wait, she knew? She must have realized that I knew that she knew about me all of this time, because her face dropped and her eyes got wide. "Crap, Allison. Let me explain please?"

I crossed my arms across my chest and tapped my foot. "Okay, explain." To say that I was slightly pi***d off was an understatement. How could my own sister know about me and never, ever, try and get to know me??

She took a deep breath and started, "When I was 10, my mom found photos of a girl who looked like me, but it wasn't me in my dad's stuff. I got a hold of the photos after mom confronted my dad. She was pi**ed! I was too. My dad cheated on my mom and in the process had you. I can't tell you that I was thrilled. I was actually really mad! I resented you, but later I grew curious. I have no other siblings. My parents divorced after my mom had found that picture of you. I was lonely. I just want to get to know you, only if you can forgive the fact that I knew for so long and I was oblivious to the fact that I had a sister that I should have been getting to know." I was shocked by what she said. I could relate to her. I know that if I was in her situation, that I might feel the same way.

"I believe you Kasey. I would probably feel the same way if I was in the situation that you were in. I am still in shock because now I have a sister when growing up I only knew my brother Alex. I want to get to know you also! You are my sister after all!" I finished with a smile!

She instantly had a smile on her face to. "Can I hug you?"

I laughed and said, "You're my sister you don't have to ask!"

We held each other in a hug for a few seconds before letting go. When we pulled away she asked, "So, am I having a niece or nephew?"

I just smiled and said, "A niece."

A smile stretched across her face. Her face fell some before she said, "You know this is my only niece. I have no other siblings."
