Chapter: 32
Allison Petterson
She jumped up and down, cheering. I guess I got her answer. “Are you or are you not?” I decided to ask anyway.
She had a happy look on her face. “I’m not pregnant.”
“That’s good.” I told her.
“No offense Allison, but, I am glad that I’m not pregnant like you are.” Just the way she said that, really ticked me off.
I hoisted myself off the floor and glared at her. “Good for you.” I made my tone sound hateful. I clenched my teeth and stomped out of the bathroom. I went straight to the door. I know she was behind me, but I slammed the door anyway. I am pi**ed! She should not have said that!
I saw that my brother had done gotten home because he was at Nathan’s side of the truck chatting. When I slammed the door, it caused both of them to look at me. “Allison, wait!” Lexi called behind me.
I turned to face her. I placed both of my hands on my hips and waited for her to speak. “I didn’t mean that.” I rose up my eyebrow at her, questioningly.
“I am serious Allison. I shouldn’t have said that.” She pleaded with me. I just responded with, “I don’t want to hear it right now Lexi.”
I just walked off to the truck. I heard her cry out, “Allison, I am sorry. Please don’t walk away.”
I just did not know what to say to her. I was about to get in when my brother says, “What is going on here?” He used his stern voice.
I sighed and shut the door back. I went to the front of the truck. Nathan did the same as me. Lexi came over to us with a sad look on her face. I crossed my arms and glared at her. “Is anyone going to say anything?” My brother yelled out.
“I just don’t want to talk to her after she said what she did to me.” I raised my voice slightly trying to get my point across.
I looked at Lexi and quirked my eyebrow up. She sighed and said, “Alex, I will tell you what I said to her.”
He gave her a stern look. “These were my exact words: No offense Allison, but, I am glad that I’m not pregnant like you are.”
Both Nathan and Alex stared at her with narrowed eyes. Alex does not like when someone says something about his baby sister and Nathan does not like anyone saying anything about his wife. I would never talk to Lexi like that. I do not get why she even talked to me that way.
Lexi’s small frame was shaking. “I thought I was pregnant Alex. I do not want a child! Not now, at least! In the long run, yes!”
A confused look crossed my brother’s face. “Lexi?”
“What baby?” She went over to touch his arm. He backed away from her causing a confused look out of all of us. “We haven’t’ had sex in months.” I looked at Nathan and his face-mirrored mine, shock.
