Chapter twenty; eight – Mistaken

Alex's POV

S-she's back!

"Ok ka lang?" Tanong ni Jake na sumunod pala ulit sa akin. Humarap ako sakanya at ngumiti ng malaki.

"Oo"

Nandito na siya, ang taong nag-alaga sa akin. Lumapit ako sakanya at niyakap siya.

"O-oh Alex hija, nandito ka na pala." Sabi niya na lubhang nabigla sa aking pagyakap. Humiwalay ako sa kanya at nginitian siya.

"Matagal po ba kayong naghintay?" I asked but she smiled at me and shook her head.

I can't believe it, she's already here. It feels like a dream seeing her near, laging sa phone lang kasi kami nag-uusap eh, sa ilang taon ko siyang nakasama mabibilang mo sa dalawang kamay ang mga pagkakataon na nakita at nakausap ko siya ng personal.

Napansin ko ang paglaki ng mata niya ng madako ang tingin niya sa taong nasa likod ko - kay Jake. Tumingin ako kay Jake and saw him look- no, glaring at her.

"Ikaw?!"

They said in chorus. Palipat-lipat ang tingin ko sakanilang dalawa, they seem to know each other... but how? 

"What are you doing here?/Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Sabi nila ng sabay na naman.

Napakamot ako sa batok ko at tinignan sila.

"Do you know each other?" I asked humarap ako kay Jake and smiled at him, "Kilala mo ba siya Cream?"

I asked them but instead of answering me, they only stared in each other's eyes. Wow, mamaya kayo na magkatuluyan. Hindi na The Cold Nerd's First Love ang maging title nito, kidding haha.

"A-ah no, sino ba siya hija? Why are you with him?" She finally uttered, napangiti naman ako at agad na hinawakan ang mga kamay ni Jake. I then looked at him and smiled.

"Boyfriend ko po."

Still smiling, I glanced at her. I was expecting a genuine smile from her but I found her shocked instead, what's happening?

"A-ah hahaha, ganoon ba hija? C-congratulations. I'm so happy to see you but as much as I want to spend more time with you, kailangan ko ng umalis. You know being a business woman sucks at times, babawi na lang ako next time, alright?" She nervously said at agad ng umalis.

I was left dumfounded with Jake.

What's wrong with her? She's acting so... weird. Ugh, I might just concluding things, baka busy lang talaga siya. Just the fact that she made time to visit me here is enough to make me happy, just the mere thought that I was able to hug her is enough.

Tumingin ako kay Jake and found him raging. He is clenching his fist.

"Do you know her?" He said sa nakakatakot na boses. By the sound of his voice could make my whole body shiver in fear, this is so new to me. He sounded so... mad, so angry like he despises my mom.

"Siya ba yon? IS SHE YOUR ADOPTIVE MOTHER?!" He angrily asked, I thought his voice was enough to startle me but the next thing he did was more petrifying... more scary.

He punched the wall behind me.

I was astounded. I was just looking at him while clutching my chest... tightly. His eyes are so dark, his dark brown eyes turned eerie, it was as if he's caging me, I should be afraid but it was weird to find peace looking at his chaos. It was like that for a moment, I was looking athim, finally relieved - na hindi ko rin alam kung paanong nangyari.
