I read the list I found when going through my purse. I have done a lot of them but I still had quite a few left to do. I am sitting on a bench unsure what to do next after what just happened a few hours ago.

"Hey. How was your Thanksgiving?" I ask Eric excited to see him.

Instead of smiling like I expected his face is expressionless.

"We need to talk." He says sitting across from me. We are sitting in a café on campus where we had arranged to meet.

"Need to talk? Are you breaking up with me?" I question him confused. As far as I knew I hadn't done anything wrong.

"When I went home I accidentally ran into my ex." He starts to explain.

"You ex?"

"Yeah. We were together through most of high school but we broke up a few years ago because she told me she wasn't ready for such a serious relationship and needed some time on her own." He continues.

"But what is that got to do with us?" I ask.

"When I ran into her she told me that breaking up was a mistake and she wants to get back together. At first I told her no because I was with someone."

"At first?" I catch on.

"I realised that I am still in love with her." He looks at me with pity in his eyes which begins to make me mad.

"Did you cheat with me?" I ask him.

"Ally I-"he starts.

"Answer the question. Did you cheat on me?" I ask trying to keep the tears that are forming in my eyes from falling.

"Yes. It was only one night. I am sorry Alison." He admits.

I stand up, wiping away the one tear that managed to escape. "I could accept that you were in love with someone else. But to cheat on me..." I drift off. "Goodbye Eric. Have a nice life." I say storming out of the café.
