Sitting at the hospital in the middle of the night only brings back bad memories. The only time anything good happened at a hospital was when Evie was born but I wasn't waiting around in the waiting room then. In a hospital waiting room I have waited to see if Zack would make it out of a car accident alive, waited to tell him his mother died, was told that my baby brother had died, and found out my best friend had died.

So yeah. I don't like waiting rooms. Jackson came over to watch Evie so I was free to pace the room as many times as I pleased. Noah and Nicole were leaning against each other on the chair's asleep and Zack was watching my small meltdown.

"Ally!" Zack whispers trying not to wake the other two. "You need to relax." He tells me.

"But what if something goes wrong? What if the baby dies? What if she dies? The baby wasn't meant to come this early." I tell him my fears.

He silently grabs my hand and pulls me out if the waiting room and into the hall.

"Nothing is going to go wrong. Babies are born early all the time. It is only two weeks early so the baby should be fully developed and perfectly normal." Zack tells me.

"When did you become an expert? Have you been reading my baby books?" I ask him.

"Uh yeah. When Evie started walking I was kind of shocked. I figured that it would happen later. So I looked it up to find out that it was normal. Then I thought I might as well read the whole book if I am living with a baby." He explains, slightly embarrassed.

Aww. How thoughtful of him. But speaking of which..

"About the living situation..." I start.

"Not right now Ally. I am tired. We have been here for nine hours. We can talk about that when we get home." He says.

I sigh. "Fine. And thanks for trying to calm me down. I just really don't like..."

"...hospitals?" Zack finishes for me. I nod. "Me neither."

I have to remember that like I was when I found out about Ethan, he was in a hospital bed when he found out about his mum.

"I think we should go home." I tell him.

"Home? Now? What about the baby?" He asks confused.

"No I mean home. Like my parents house. Next week. We could go for a few days.  I think we should go and visit the cemetery. I haven't been there in a few years. You are getting married and I think I just need to be there. And visit him." I suggest.

"That sounds like a good idea." He says hugging me.

"Let's go back in." I tell him.

We walk back into the waiting room and we see that Nicole and Noah are now awake. Then Sam walks in grinning.

"It's a boy!" He announces.

A few days later we are arrive back in our hometown. It was great to be back for a bit. I just needed a break and I wanted to see my family.

This trip would have been perfect if it wasn't for one teeny tiny thing.

"I am so excited to see where you grew up." Natalie tells Zack.

That is right. He decided to bring Natalie. Apparently it was important for her to meet my parents because they were like his second parents and he wanted to show her where he grew up. It was going to be a tight fit. We were only here for the weekend so Aiden was going to sleepover next door with Ellie. The two were just as close as Ethan and I were at their age and it was adorable. Then Zack and Natalie were staying in Aiden's room and I was in my old room with Evie. Violet's old cot and everything was already set up in the corner of my room since she stays over here sometimes so I didn't have to pack too much stuff for her.
