4. Don't Apologize

(Kiara's P.O.V.)

Two weeks later...

I sat in my office going through files and markin' the ones that needed to be further inspected.

I rummaged through some more papers to find the list of people I had to call so they could come in for an interview with my boss.

I found it placing it next to me going for the first name on the list.

"Ms. Smith you have someone here to see you." I groaned wondering why would someone choose to see me now without an appointment.

"Sofia you know I don't accept unexpected visitors."

"I know that Ms. Smith... it's just that this visitor says it's urgent and you know him."

"Who Sofia?"

"He goes by Mr. Alsina." I sighed knowin' that he received the DNA test and wanted to talk about it since I had got one too, which came out positive confirming that August was most definitely Elana's father.

"Send him in."

A few minutes later, the door opened hintin' that August was in my office. But I continued to work since I had a lot to do and if I wanted to leave work early today to pick Elana up from Christina's house I would need to continue without any distractions.

"So yo ass gonna sit there and act like you 'ont see meh?"

"You can talk August, I'm just very busy today as usual." I groaned as I started to book flights for my boss who was needed in a lot of places.

"So this is whea' you work huh?" I rolled my eyes.

"Obviously."

"You know ya boss...What's ha' name?"

"Marie Shepard." I answered bluntly.

"Yea ha...she designed mah wardrobe for mah' tour. What are you her assistant or somethin'?"

"Good for you. And yea I am her assistant but I don't just grab her coffee and book her meetings if that's what you think."

He chuckled "You got a lil attitude on yah' yuh know?" I pushed my eyebrow up trying to seem intrigued from what he had just told me.

"Anyways I got the results back... And you were right." He sighed

"Wow interesting so much for you not being the daddy."

"Listen you can't blame a nigga for tryin' to be cautious and mindful in this situation. It's not easy to hear shit like that."

"Yea whatever Anthony."

"Wow so we usin' middle names now?"

"Looks like it."

"Listen I was just wonderin' if we could sit down you, me, and our daughter..." He said putting emphasis into the "our" part. "...and talk or do something I just wanna see her."

I looked up at him and smirked and finally stopped what I was doing. "Yea maybe next weekend I guess. Thats when I'm always off but my place." He nodded his head "Aii thanks ma I'll see you soon."

"Bye August." with that he left and I went back to bookin' her flights this is gonna be a long day.

(Camary's P.O.V.)

"Sit down Laylanii so I can finish your hair." I hissed as she kept on fidgeting with the position I had sat her in.

I didn't take her to school today because she had a doctors appointment and had been sick for a while now.

It's been hard but Christina is the only one that would watch over her when I was at work because of my full time job and if and when she couldn't watch her I would have to take her to work with me.
