48. Doubts

Two weeks later...

(Passion P.O.V.)

"Okay we don't have much time, so I suggest you say what you have to say so we can go our separate ways." He chuckled, leaning back into his seat staring at me with an amused look on his face.

"Passion did you really drive all the way down here just to make this little "secret" meetin' of ours quick?" He leaned in forward closer towards me.

"You was once mah' girlfriend and even though things at the end didn't go down the way it should've doesn't mean that we shouldn't take our time to talk things out between us two...Until this very day I still wonder where the hell did I fuck up?" I sighed taking off my shades, finally looking into his eyes.

"Derek what we had went down hill long before I started to cheat on you and you knew that...We tried our hardest after Charlotte and Spencer passed away to make things go back to normal but our relationship already was way too damaged for us to try to rekindle things."

"That's not true Passion we could've made it work. We could've went to counseling and helped each other, instead of going out and cheating on me you could've sat me down and told me how you felt."

"No Derek, you don't get it...That miscarriage tore us apart, it showed me just how weak our relationship actually was and you pushed me out-."

"You pushed me out too." He added in a stern tone.

"Derek do you really think that an engagement ring was really suppose to fix anything? You were in and out of home and you took that job all the way across town on purpose."

"Now that's bullshit and you fucking know it. That job was paying the bills and you can't even talk because your ass was always traveling around the world for that job of yours."

"I only took it because you were barely home and I was depressed...I needed to get out that house." I sighed taking a deep breath in.

"...that engagement ring was nothing but false hope for us."

"Not for me it wasn't...Passion I followed you from Huston to England and when I managed to get enough money I payed for that condo for us to move into. I was with you since we were only fourteen and I gave up everything to be with you Patricia! I was in love you back then and I still am."

"Derek-."

"I'm not finish...I stayed by your side through everything and after all of that did you really think I was ready to give up on us? It hurt for me to see you with another person whether or not it was a man or not it still hurt..."

"I know I hurt you...and I apologize for that,  I really am. I wasn't thinking at the time and ended up looking for affection in the wrong places. But, I'm happy now Derek...I really am and I can't see myself being with anyone but Daisa." He passed his hand across his face, slightly nodding his head.

"I understand." He got up from his seat and bent down kissing me on my lips.

I closed my eyes and bowed my head down after he did that.

"I guess this is goodbye, but I do hope to see you next me." I got up from my seat returning my shades onto my face again and wrapped my arms around him and he did the same.

"Bye Derek." I removed myself from him and walked away.

"So that's all that happened between y'all? Y'all just talked?" Camary asked.

I looked around at the girls and nodded my head sheepishly.

"Yeaa...why?"

"She kissed him, I can tell." Camary squinted her eyes me slightly glaring in a playful manner.
