31. Confessions

(Genesis's P.O.V.)

"Oh my gosh Gen you look beautiful."

I smiled widely at Kiara's comment as she engulfed me into her tight embrace.

"Thank you Kay you looking really sexy yourself."

"Oh please, tonight's about you, not me."

"Well it still doesn't mean that I can't complement you on how good you look."

"Well thank you again."

"So you like the place I chose? I know you like sushi so I chose this place especially for you."

"Thanks ma."

"No problem."

"So how was the game? I know that you guys won, but I want details."

"Well for majority of the game I was benched until one of my teammates got injured and so I took I over and made the winning shot of the night."

"Oh my gosh that's great!"

"Yea it is my coach slash best friend doesn't involve me in the game much. He says it's because he doesn't want me to get hurt and I still need to improve in my training but I just know that he doesn't have much confidence in me like he has in the others girls on my team."

"That's sucks."

"Yea I know."

"But it just shows that he's trying push you and cares. But either than that I think you've proved yourself.

"Thank you tonight was a very special night and you being able to celebrate it with me is just even better."

"Well hun I'm actually very happy for you and proud of you." I nodded understandingly while gazing at the menu in front of me.

The sweet potato sushi roll sounded really good.

I looked up at Kiara to see her looking a little confused.

I picked up my water sipping it while staring at her.

I wasn't trying to be a creep or anything but she was really beautiful and the feelings I was slowly developing for her was just to hard to hold in.

I really wanted to let her know at this very moment how I felt about her. But what Nolan had told me earlier at the game about slowing down had been plugged into my head and I didn't want to make a fool out of myself if I just blurted out my feelings for her.

"You okay?" She shook her head slightly laughing.

"Not trying to ruin the moment or anything but I'm not a big fan of sushi...Well I haven't tasted it before so I don't really know what to get."

"Kiara." I whined

"I'm sorry I know how you feel about the whole "set a comfortable environment" thing. But I wanted tonight to be about you despite if I was kinda out of my comfort zone."

"Well, why don't we just leave and eat somewhere else?"

"Noo sit down, listen it's all fine. How about you just help me find something you recommend and from there we just enjoy our dinner? I can care less about the food."

"But that's the whole point of going out to dinner. It's for two people to enjoy each other's company while eating a hot meal."

"I can always do that at home, but for now just help me choose."

"Fine." She nodded clearly satisfied with my answer.

"Oh! I remember the first time I tried sushi I got the California roll."
