Part II: 51. New Friendships

Two months later...

(Passion's P.O.V.)

The sound of the alarm coming from my phone had awakened me. I turned over off of Derek picking up my silk robe from off of the floor.

Ever since Daisa had broken up with me two months ago, I've just kind of been doing my own thing.

It cut deep when she told me she didn't want to be with me anymore and at first I was a mess but I realized that I needed a break from relationships.

I was always quick to run back to either her or Derek and I needed to learn to be more independent.

As for Derek we weren't back together. I mean he had feelings for me but what we were doing was just strictly sex.

I told him I didn't want anything more and of course he agreed. This had been going on for a while and frankly I didn't care, I wasn't gonna get caught up in another relationship.

I just wanted a stress reliever.

I walked into the bathroom cutting on the water and pulled out my toothbrush and toothpaste and began to brush my teeth while waiting for the water to get hot.

Derek walked into the bathroom and leaned against the bathroom door staring at me for a moment quickly making me grow agitated.

I didn't know what was wrong with me but out of no where i would become annoyed with his presence.

I spit out the residue in mouth out into the sink.

"I told you that you could use the other bathroom."

"I don't need to use the bathroom." I rolled my eyes and continued to brush my teeth.

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm taking you out tonight."

I ignored him as if I didn't hear a word he said and finished with what I was doing before stripping out of the robe I was wearing and entered the shower.

After completing my business I got dressed and returned to my bedroom hoping that Derek had left which he did but leaving me a note with breakfast on the side.

I know you said that you didn't want anything to do with me besides the sex but you know that I still have feelings for you and I'm hoping that you will stop being stubborn and let me take you out tonight. Please be ready by 8 I have reservations set for us at Deangelo's.

I crumbled up the piece of paper throwing it into the trash bin across the room.

I don't know what part of us not having anything to do with each other besides the sex did he not understand.

But I mean if he wanted to go out so bad he should've just went out with other girls because I know for a fact it wasn't going to be me.

"So tonight at eight right?"

"Yea don't be late Kiara." I chuckled while switching the position of the phone from one ear to the other.

"I won't Liz, trust me."

"Yea okay."

"I can't believe I'm finally meeting your husband after all this time, I thought I would be meeting him much sooner."

"I know I thought so too but he's always working and I finally got him to agree to sit down and have dinner with you, August and Elana. He's not really big on me having friends since the last group of girls I use to hang out with all did me dirty when I needed them the most."
