10. Moving On

One Month later...

"Come on babygirl we have to head out soon."

"Okay mommy."

I glanced at her one more time before walkin' out ha room and directly into mine.

To be honest not much has happened for the past month. But something that did change was the relationship well more like friendship that August and I shared.

We were more open to each other on certain things and talked more. After he had basically put me in my place it had given me more time to think and get myself together.

I had more freedom to myself on my days off when August had Elana and a lot of things I would struggle with when it came to working late and stressing over August would handle which was of course good.

As for the girls we've all just been doing and minding our own shit.

Passion hardly speaks to any of us she says she just wants to focus on work and herself and when I do speak to her she keeps the conversation short and sweet.

Christina is always busy with work and when she's not she claims she's out with her sons. But in my opinion I think she's seeing someone and she's just not ready to open up to any of us about it because usually I would watch over her sons while she worked before or after or even on my days off but I guess she got someone else to cover that for her.

Last but not least Camary...Camary and I actually never spoke until yesterday when she called and she said wanted to speak to me to resolve and straighten some things out between us two, which I was willing to do. I'm not gonna lie I missed hangin' out with her and talking to her.

After all she was one of my best friends.

I decided to bring Elana along because I thought she would help me keep my cool and she was supposedly going to bring Laylanii.

The girls haven't really had an official play date in a while and it's because we both were too stubborn to call nor do something that was just for our kids and this would be an actual opportunity for both of them to hang out since they only saw each other at school.

I glanced one more time at my phone about to call Elana until she walked into my room with her mini ipad and a bright smile on her face

I could tell she was excited.

"I'm ready mommy!" I giggled at her.

"Alright let's go princess."

"Lay Lay I missed you!"

"I missed you too but we saw each other yesterdway silly."

I giggled at how over dramatic the girls were acting and looked up to see Camary grinnin' a little too.

I sat down on the bench placing my side bag in the middle of us. "Okay girls you can go play but don't go no where that we can't see you. Okay?"

They nodded their heads before grabbing onto each other's hands and running off into where they usually play together.

I looked over Camary before clearin' my throat and earning her attention. She slightly smiled

"Hey, how you doin'?"

"I'm doing much better...You?"

"I'm doing fine." I looked at her immediately knowin' that she was lying.

"Come here." She looked over at me for a moment before quickly throwing her arms around my neck as I wrapped my arms around her.

"I'm sorry I was only trying to help and I let the moment we were in get the best of me."
