Insane yet Sweet (Light x reader)

Cake and fish

It was morning and you looked at the clock by your bed. It was 8 in them morning. You stayed in Sayu's room at night. She had a bunk bed and it was better than sleeping on lights floor. You still kept some of the pages of the death note in your bra for late at night.

"Good morning (f/n)!!" Sayu said with a happy tone. She looked down over the top bunk at you and giggled. "It's really fun having you stay here. It's like a sleepover every night!" You nervously laughed thinking of all the bad things that have Happened staying here. "Well I'm going to go make breakfast" you smiled at her as you slipped off the bed and changed. You pulled you messy (h/c) bed hair into a sloppy bun and quietly crept down the hallway hoping light was still sleeping. On weekends he usually slept late anyways. You walked into the kitchen almost having a heart attack at who was in front of you.

"Good morning (f/n)" your heart dropped. "Good morning Light" you sat without looking at him. He was making pancakes. They smelled so good. "Do you want any?" He asked mixing the batter. You wanted pancakes but you wanted light to know that you were done with his shit. "Sure" you shrug. He grins and pours the batter onto the skillet. "How about me and you do something today. Just the two of us?" He says. "It will be fun"

Lights (POV)

'I need her to like me if she's going to be mine. I need to regain her trust again. It won't be easy but it will work'.

I flip the golden pancakes over as we both are silent. It's as though she isn't even in the room. I turn to see if she still is. She's just sitting at the table with her hand holding her head upright. She's refusing to look at me. I need to be more kind if she's going to like me.

Your (POV)

"Where would we go then?" You ask with no expression in your voice. 'Is he staring at me? What a creep. Ugh.' He answers politely "we could take a walk around town?" He says as he places a plate of the delicious golden cakes in the middle of the table. You were practically drooling over them. Since the last thing you actually ate was candy the night before. Light sat across from you waiting for you to answer. "Well since I'm actually allowed to leave your house why not?" He nods and you two both devour the pancakes until you hear a knock at the door. Light leaves the table to answer it. You play with your fork and wait for him to return as he returns with another person. You gasp. It's the guy from the candy shop.

"Hello you're  the girl that found my wallet for me." He says looking at me. "Yes I am" you smile at him. "Umm What brings you here and if I may ask what is your name?" You ask gently. "My name is Ryuzaki. And I wanted to thank you for finding my wallet for me. I don't know what I would have done if I lost it"

"If you wanted to thank me then how did you know I would be here?" You asked confused. As if he didn't even hear you he walked over to the table and sits at one of the chairs in an odd crouching position and grabs one of the pancakes and starts to eat it. 'How rude...'You thought.

You tried not to stare. He whipped  his hands on his jeans and looked over at you and Light. "I would like to repay you by taking you to the fall festival tonight" Ryuzaki said putting his thumb to his lips. "Only if I can come too." Light answered for me in a annoyed tone. "You're more than welcome. The more people the better." He stood up and was about to walk out the door. "I'll meet you both there at 7 tonight" he said as he left.

"I don't like him" Light said as you were both preparing for the festival.

"You barely know him" you added brushing your tangled hair.

"Something about him is just off, I don't feel safe around him."

"Well now you know how I feel about you." You said.

Lights (POV)

That damn Ryuzaki. What does he want. He seems suspicious. The way he sits, walks, talks, eats. What's with him. I won't let him hurt (f/n) or he will be hurt himself.

Your (POV)

You add your finishing touches to yourself and look into the mirror and frown. You've never liked how you look. You groaned at your image. "What's the matter?" Light asks from behind you. "I'm just so...." you say turning towards him, your (e/c) eyes looking sad and also angry. Unexpectedly he pressed his soft lips to your forehead. "You're beautiful (f/n)." He said looking into your big (e/c) eyes. You froze unable to speak. You blushed bright red and hoped he couldn't see it. 'IM SUPPOSED TO HATE HIM!!' You thought to yourself. 'HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO HATE HIM WHEN HE ACTS LIKE THIS?'' Your mind was exploding with questions. Something in light has changed. He seemed kinder. But why?

You both made your way to the festival dressed nicely. You both saw Ryuzaki waiting for you under a tree. He was dressed in his classic white long sleeved shirt and blue jeans. It's like he doesn't even try to look decent. You both met up with him and walked around. After awhile of talking with him and properly introducing yourselves you walked through the festival.

"Let's play that game!" you say excitedly. You all rushed over to the both you were staring at. You wanted the gold fish. All you had to do was toss the rings around the pegs. Easy right?? You tried. You failed multiple times. You ran out of money to play it again. "Awww the fish was so cute" you pout causing light to chuckle. Ryuzaki started walking over to a both selling extravagant cakes and sweets. "I'll be right back" he waves at you two. You laugh a little.

"(F/n) go with Ryuzaki for a moment ok?" Light asked his brown eyes looking directly into you (e/c) ones. "Why?" You ask tilting you head. "I can't tell you or it will ruin the surprise" he chuckled. "Ok ok I'm going" you laugh. You meet up with the raven haired Ryuzaki. He was buying the cake pops. They looked so good. "Would you like one (f/n)? Ryuzaki said his mysterious black eyes noticing you eyeing the cakes. "No it's ok!" You say quickly. "I insist" he says "it's the least I can do you found my wallet." He smiles. You look down and blush "ok but only if you want to. Thank you so much" you say smiling at him.

light returns to you and Ryuzaki eating the cake pops at a small table. He glares at the black haired boy.

Lights (POV)

Is he trying to win her over by buying her sweets?! I'm not letting that happen. She needs to love me not that excuse of a person. Ugh if only I could just get rid of him. But that might cause problems. I'll have to see how Everything goes. I walk towards their table and I hold up what I have in my right hand and I hear (f/n) squeal. I smile at her. There is no way she would choose Ryuzaki over me.

Your (POV)

While we were enjoying our cake pops you glance over to see light walking over to your table with a bag in his hand? As he came closer you noticed it was a plastic bag filled with water and had a gold fish in it!! "Ahhhhh oh my god light!!" You squeal and run towards him almost ripping the bag of water out of his hand. "Surprise!" He said laughing. "Thank you so much light! My parents never let me have a pet and even having a gold fish means a lot to me" you said flipping out. You didn't even realized but you quickly kissed him on the cheek. Light just stared at you like he saw a ghost.

Lights (POV)

'She's mine. She likes me. I tried to act surprised but I knew this trick would work. Poor Ryuzaki had to watch (f/n) kiss me in front of him! I felt as though this was the best day of my life. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pressed her warm body against mine and rested my head on her shoulder. I glanced at ryuzaki and grinned. He just stared at me with an emotionless face. He was probably jealous I  had her to myself. She smelled so nice. Like tea and fruit. I just wish I could hold her like this forever but that time will come soon enough.'

L's (POV)

I just watched as (f/n) freaked out and kissed him. It's so hard to see her as a second Kira. She's so kind and sweet. She couldn't possibly be killing hundreds of people. Light pulled her into a tight hug and half smiled half glared at me. What was he thinking?
