Insane yet Sweet (Light x reader)

The eyes

You walked into the bathroom hoping Ryuk would follow. There weren't as many cameras in the bathroom and there wasn't any wire taps. As expected he followed you in.

"Ryuk I want to do the eye deal." You said hoping you wouldn't regret it. He laughed his shinigami laugh. "Are you sure? Your life span will be split in two remember." Should I actually do it? Ah I don't know. You thought hard trying to decide. After about two minutes a smile appeared on your face. "Did you make up your mind?" Ryuk questioned. "Yes I did." You smile. "If you agree to do what I ask of you when I break out of here I promise I'll buy you as many apples as you want." His mouth watered. You had spent so much money on apples for him. But this trick always got him. "And what would that be?" He asked. "There is a dumb police guy named Matsuda. I want him to somehow touch the paper of this note so he can see you then I want you to convince him to do the eye deal. Lie to him and say it extends your life. He's so stupid he'll probably accept the offer. And when he accepts me or Light can somehow find out L's real name from him. Oh and also tell him that if he tells anyone about how me made the deal he will be killed. But only say that after he accepts." You felt good about this plan. It has to work. "How many apples will I be getting?" Ryuk asked. "As many as you want"

You went back to your room and laid down feeling satisfied. Light was sitting on the edge of the bed waiting for you to get back. "Hey" you slid under the covers. You took out a pad of paper and a pen and wrote your plan down on it. You folded it up and placed it under Lights pillow unnoticeably. He stretched and you patted his pillow gesturing him to lie down by you. He did and pulled the blanket over him. You had your arm under his pillow gripping the paper. You then moved your arm down so your arm was under his back. He noticed what you seemed to be doing and reached under him for the paper you set there. He nodded and slipped it in his pants. "Goodnight (f/n)" he whispered and closed his tired brown eyes. "Night Light."

You awoke the next morning and stretched. Where is Light? You got out of bed his side of the bed was empty and cold. You changed quickly remembering the cameras and left the room to find Light. You spotted him in his cream sweater and khakis. He was sitting at a table with L. He was going over everything Rem had to Him with Light. I wonder where that Matsuda guy is? I hope light read the letter. You were so deep in thought you didn't even hear L ask you to join them at the table.

You poured yourself some cereal they had and sat down with them munching at the fruit loops you had just poured. Since you weren't part of the task force L didn't really let you know a lot of information. But Light would always tell you later so you didn't mind. You pretended to freak out when he told you there was a shinigami floating around. "A shinigami?! But those are just myths!" L shook his head. "Not anymore."

You decided to drop in on Matsuda a few hours later to "see how he was doing." Sometimes you actually would vist him to play Uno. "Hey Matsuda." You smiled at him. Me smiled back but seemed to glance above your head a little. DID HE GET THE EYES ALREADY?! GOD THIS IS JUST TOO EASY! You again tried to hold back it failed and you laughed out loud causing him to stare. "Whats so funny?" He asked confused. "Oh it's nothing. You just look so adorable today Matsuda." You smiled at him. "R-really?" He blushed looking away. He's so easy to lie to! "Yes! do you want to play Uno?" His eyes lot up. "Sure!" You both played and sipped on lemonade while he had a small break from the investigation.

Matsuda's (POV)

I played uno with (f/n) until my break was up. "Awww I have to go back to work." I pouted. She returned a pout also. "I'll walk with you there if you want?" She offered. "Ok that would be nice." I scratched the back of my head. She led me through the hall ways to where L was. How did she know where to go? The doors opened and I saw Light and L sitting at computers. I glanced above their heads and saw their names and life lines. Wait. Why doesn't Light have the death date? Hmm that's weird. I then remembered that no one else knew L's real name. I gazed at it. " L Lawliet" pretty cool name. I felt kind of special knowing his real name. I'm so glad I made that eye deal! Now I have extended life and I have this fun new power!

Your (POV)

You noticed Matsuda looking very happy gazing at Light and L. Was he happy that he now knew L's real name? Or was he happy he saw L's death date. If he was happy about the death date that would mean L wouldn't die for a very long time. You brushed that thought off and put on your fake self again in front of them. "Sorry if he is a little late. We got caught up playing a game of Uno." You laughed. Matsuda blushed and walked to were he did he work. He still every once in awhile glacé above L's head. They all continued to work while you were trying to think of ways to have Matsuda spill L's name. He's pretty stupid it won't be that hard.... But with the cameras and wire taps around... All the ideas you could come up with just wouldn't be able to work with L around.

In the end of the day you still had no idea what to do. Light entered the room with a big smile on his face. "Eyes?" He asked. You nodded knowing what he meant. His grin widened. "Put a jacket on we are going to go out with Matsuda." What was he planning? You nodded and pulled your coat off the hook. L had recently let you and light leave whenever you wanted but you had tracking devices around your wrist so he could always know where you were at. You began walking with him to the elevator when L stopped you both. "And where are you two going?" He questioned scratching his head. "We are going to get a few drinks with Matsuda. we will be back soon!" Light waved at the concerned black haired man. L narrowed his eyes a little. "Be back before 10." He said then turned around in his chair. Yes he's letting us go! He was always a little tense with letting us leave but maybe our suspicion has dropped even more?

Matsuda practically tripped down the stairs to meet us at the elevator. "Sorry I'm a little late." He nervously laughed. "Its fine." Light smiled at him. You all fit in the elevator and waited till it hit the bottom floor. You all stepped out and started to walk to wherever Light wanted to go. It was close around spring time so the air was pretty mild. The slight wind made your (h/n) (h/c) whip around your face. You walked past many people. Matsuda can see all their names.. That must be pretty weird.

Light led you and Matsuda to a bar and grill kind of place. You sat down at the restaurant at a small table with both of them on either side of you. A cute waitress made her way over to the table and asked what we wanted. Matsuda couldn't stop going red everytime he looked at the waitress. She wore a skimpy looking maid dress with garters. Since you and Light weren't 21 yet it was illegal for both of you to drink but Matsuda could. light offered to buy Matsuda whatever drink he wanted and in the end he ended up buying him 4. You and light enjoyed your meals while Matsuda hiccuped every 3 seconds. He was drunk. His face looked red and sloppy. And he was making random noises. You turned towards Lighg and whispered. "Was this your plan? To see him get Drunk?" He smirked back. "Just watch."

(I hope it's ok the story is changed up! Like with Mastuda with the eyes. I thought it would be pretty interesting! And I don't knew if L's real name is just Lawliet or L Lawliet.
