Insane yet Sweet (Light x reader)

Almost there

You woke up curled up next to him.

'I must of fell asleep...' You thought sitting up slowly so he wouldn't wake. His face looked very red. Concerned you gently placed your palm on his forehead. He was burning up. You tried to hop off the bed but your head ached so much. Your head had left some blood on the Snow White pillow. You winced and put a hand to your temple. The night before seemed so unreal.

You retrieved the towel you had used the night before and ran it under the sink water. You retuned to Light and placed it on his forehead.

'He has a fever.'

You shivered a little and realized you were still butt naked from last night. Luckily your clothes were still in the bathroom. Your head throbbed more and more. You wanted to rip your hair out. Thankfully you didn't do that.

You laid beside your boyfriend till he woke. He was breathing a little differently. He defiantly had a fever.

"Your sick. I want you to stay in bed and rest. I'll bring up your food." You said to him before he even said anything. He opened his mouth slightly like he was going to speak but didn't.

"I'll go get our food now." You waved to him and opened the door.

"Wait.. Will you be okay?" HE weakly asked. You nodded quickly even though you wanted to scream because of the stupid pain.

You stepped outside the room and made your way down the hall. It was going well until you were about halfway down the hallway. Your vision went a little funny and your head continued to pound. You clutched your head a let out a little whimper. It started to bleed again. You tried as hard as you could to make it to the room where you all are the day before. You did succeed in getting there. You knocked and of course L was there.

"You don't look so well (f/n). Light should have come instead." He said as he was stacking a glazed donut tower.

"I-I'm fine. I just need our breakfast. Light is sick in bed." You said breathing like you had just run a marathon.

"I'll bring the food. Watari hasn't prepared it yet. I advise you go to your room and rest. Your head is bleeding again and you almost lost your life yesterday." L said. You nodded. He sighed as donut tower tumbled.

You left the room and did as he said.

Once you got to the room you went to lights bed. He did have a fever but there wasn't much choice unless you slept on the floor but you preferred to be comfy. You closed your eyes and went to sleep almost instantly.

Your (e/c) eyes opened weakly. It felt like they were being weighed down. You notice out of the corner of your eye that 2 trays loaded with food were sitting by the bed. You were starving but you had no urge to get up. Light still slept so you forced yourself up and grabbed the tray. You crawled back into the bed and decided to eat while in bed. 

There was a muffin, eggs, a pancake, some fruit, and some orange juice. Your mouth watered looking at everything. You took a bite of the pancake first and beamed.

'So delicious!'

You scarfed down the tray and lie with your stomach full. You didn't notice that the other tray only had a single bowl in it containing soup. You were happy he was given soup to help with his fever.

Finally after almost all day Light woke up. He had his now cold soup and looked pretty depressed. L told you both that the machine had arrived. You were both glad and decided to get it over with today even though Light was in a pretty bad state.

Ryuzaki retrieved you both from the room and said this time you would be participating as well. You agreed and you and Light were both led to the same room as before.

There in the room there was a machine similar to the first although this one looked 100 times better. You grinned. L hooked up light to the machine and asked him the same questions. Lights feverish face partly beamed as he saw the lie detector didn't detect any lies. L's face dropped in disappoint but also surprise. When light was done you were asked to do it. You were hooked and L asked you some questions.

"Did you work with Kira?" Was the first simple question he asked. You said no. He then asked.

"Do you have any relationship to Kira?" You answered no. He asked you more about Kira and luckily it turned out you weren't lying. L's face tightened.

"I'm happy for you both but as for myself I feel defeated. You both shall leave now. If you don't go soon I'll change my mind and you both wouldn't want that right?" L said slouched in his normal position. He looked torn.

'Everything was finally over. We were finally free.'

You embraced Light who hugged you back and combed through your hair with his fingers. You were so happy you didn't even know what to say. You felt tears slide down your cheeks but you didn't feel sad.

"A helicopter is coming to pick you both up shortly. You will both be taken to a hotel nearby your home." L continued to speak up what was going to happen. You nodded quickly even though you weren't really listening. You were to excited.

You squeezed Lights hand and clenched your teeth together in excitement.

"Let's go home."
