Schools back in Session

Nears (POV)

After countless hours we finally arrived in Japan. It was raining heavily and was around 2 in the morning there. I handed my bag of toys to Gevanni to make sure they didn't get wet. We stepped off the pain to the outside and stepped into the Limo waiting for us.

We will find out soon enough. I will catch you. I thought looking out the Window of the vehicle. The morning rain washed down the side of the slick glass. I told Gevanni to give me back my bag. When he did I put my arm in grabbing a bag of dice. I quietly stacked them on top of my knee balancing the cubes. "They believe they won just because L played dead. Pathetic." I spat making the dice tower tumble down the sides of the seat.

Their nothing more than childish serials killers trying to play at being god. Nothing more nothing less.

Your (POV)

You awoke quickly in your bed shooting upright. There was a giant storm. You checked the clock on your phone to see it was about 2:30. You reached for the nearby lamp on the stand beside you and flicked the switch. But no light came on. The power was out. You hated the dark. Whenever it was Completely dark like this scary thoughts would pop into your head. You slowly slid all the way under the covers leaving a little hole to breath out of.

"Oh the powers out..." You heard the brunette tiredly speak. He yawned and you heard him sit upwards in his bed. "Your awake too?" You asked feeling more comfortable. "Yeah the thunder is so loud. But I like watching thunderstorms. My dad used to tell me whenever it thundered it was god bowling." He laughed a little. You laughed back "wow that's interesting." You saw Lights figure sitting in front of the window as the Lightning flashed again making the room glow in false sunlight. You smiled slightly. At least he can still sleep unlike the previous L.

The next day came slowly but surely. You didn't know how long you laid in bed watching the wall it felt like all night. Your eyes had bags similar to L's and your mouth felt dry. You decided to sleep in for a few more hours. You didn't have anything better to do anyways. You closed your soar eyes and tried to sleep even though the sun still shined through your eyelids. You thankfully did bed up sleeping but you were awoke by Light not to soon after.

You opened your (e/c) eyes slowly and stared into the cinnamon colored eyes above you. "I have some news for you.." He said looking kind of relieved. "What?" You stretched and yawned. "We will both be going back to school starting tomorrow."

Your eyes widened. "Are we cleared?" He shook his head. "There is 5% they still think we are Kira but my Dad is worried about our academic work. My dad doesn't believe we are Kira so will we be attending school again but we will still be on camera somehow and have trackers." He sighed. You sighed back. "Oh.. Well at least they trust us this much to go to school." He nodded and ruffled your (h/c) hair and smiled. "Everything will go fine. Don't worry about anything I have it all under control." He then smirked. You nodded believing him. He was always right.

Light was practically L 24 hours a day so it was an actual treat to spend time with him. He mostly did everything you wanted to do although he would sometimes pout about it. But now since you were going to be back in school with him it was like the time you first met. It actually made you fell kind of sick to your stomach. You wished you met him a different way but everything was fine now so It didn't matter. Your parents were currently flipping about about you being suspected as Kira. First you started living with a random High school boy and then the next moment your taken in for questioning. Your parents were under a lot of stress about you but you tried not to let it bother you too much. You knew that you and Light would eventually be freed for good.

Light tossed you a (fav color) bag and looked at you. "Are you ready?" He asked starting to walk out. Today was the day. The day you could forget about everything that had gone wrong. You had almost completely forgot about Ryuk. It was like he hid in the shadows sometimes but now he would be filling you and Light to school.

"Please give me an apple." He pleaded. His body was all twisted and he hopped on one leg. "Please it's been a week." He continued to beg. You and Light continued to walk but you dug through your lunch bag and tossed him an apple. He chomped on it till the whole fruit was gone. His body slowly started to return to normal. "Thanks (f/n)" he chuckled. "No problem."

You stopped at the building in front of you. The brunette beside you also stopped to wait for you.

I wish I could tell my friends all the things that have happened. Minus the killings. You thought. You knew all your classmates would tackle you and Light with questions. Which they did. When you walked in the building with the brown haired teen by your side your friends dashed over.

"(F/n) where have you been these past few months?! Did your parents let you skip school? Were you sick? Don't tell me it was Kira!!" They went on and on. You laughed at all their stupid comments. "No I was attending another school." You lied scratching the back of your head. The girls suddenly turned to the confused Light.

"Is that Light Yagami? I thought he like disappeared or something?" One girl yelled. You glaced at your boy friend. You knew he was trying to stay calm in front of everyone. He couldn't stand loud obnoxious girls. "Light are you single?" Multiple girls said at once. You smirked at him. "Why aren't you the popular one." He sweatdropped and looked irritated at the girls. "No I'm not single. (F/n) and I are together." He sighed annoyed at the females in front of him. "Really? Wow congrats (f/n)!" Your friends smiled at you jealousy written all over their faces. "Um thanks." You replied fake smiling. Light then threw this arm around you and led you to both of your class. As you walked away you heard the girls behind you making "awwww" sounds and giggling. You ignored and continued.

You found your seats and of course chose a seat right next to Light. You were actually exited. You totally forgot about boring school could actually be. You watched everyone walk into the class room. Average high school students. But one caught your eyes. You nudged your boyfriend a little with your arm but you already could tell he was staring to.

Did L have a brother?

He reminded you so much of L. His dark grey eyes just the way he moved was so much like the former detective except this kid had curly Snow White hair, and wore all white. It was weird he wasn't in proper school attire. He twirled his hair in his fingers and made his way to an open seat in the back of Light. It was like he didn't even notice all the stared he was getting. And it wasn't just from you and Light. The white hair was one thing and the other was that he looked so young. Maybe 13?

He sat with one knee close to his chest and continued to twirl his snowy locks. He was actually super adorable. You didn't want to stare so you made sure you weren't constantly looking at him.
The teacher at the head of the class had the boy go up and introduce himself. The teacher told us he was a transfer student from North America.

"I'm Nelson Ravis."He said in a bored out of his mind tone. He walked back to his seat and sat. You couldn't help but watch him from the corner of your eye. Light probably was weirded out also. You continued to watch as he reached in his pocket and pulled out some finger puppets. Meh slipped them into his fingers and played with them.

I guess he's very childish?

"Miss (f/n) please pay attention and stop staring at the new student." You whipped your head around and nodded your face heating up.

So I get in trouble but he dosnt?! He's the one playing with toys in class! You thought staring down at your desk.

Near's (POV)

They already seem to notice me. Using the Alias "Nelson Ravis" if they try writing my name the only thing that will happen is disappointment from them. I need to stay close to them. They have probably already compared me to L In looks and habits by now. Soon it will probably catch on to them that I'm actually not who I say I am.
