i keep thinking about
how easy it is
to disappear
without leaving,

how the body
keeps moving
while the mind
fades to static,

how a laugh
can sound like a knife
when it names you
something hollow.

there are days
i feel stitched together
wrong,
like someone traded my blood
for glass water,
clear and empty,
a reflection of a reflection.

i remember silence
that wasn't silence,
just the world moving on
without me,
and now i see it again
in mirrors,
in smoke,
in the way footsteps echo
like they don't belong to me.

it hurts most
when someone points
and says
you're not here,
as if i don't already know,
as if i don't already ache
with the weight
of being half-alive.

i wonder if this is my fate—
to stumble through corridors,
a pale imitation of myself,
my pulse thinned to a thread,
my presence no louder
than dust in sunlight,
always moving,
never alive enough
to be touched.
