Babies

'It's a girl' The doctor tells us. Ronnie grins down at Jess and I couldn't stop the smile. Riley wraps an arm around my waist and pulls me into his chest.

'Yay' Jess smiles 'Told you' She sticks her tongue out at Ronnie and I laugh.

'Wait' the doctor frowns. We all look at the screen, smiles gone. 'Jess, you're having twins' 'What?' we all ask, completely shocked.

'Yeah, the other baby must have been hiding from view' she says 'But you're also having a boy'

'Twins?' Jess looked a little pale.

'You ok?' I ask.

'Yeah, just wasn't expecting that' she laughs while Ronnie looks like he's gone into shock.

'Ok something is definitely wrong' the doctor says, her eyes wide.

'What?' Ronnie asks 'What's wrong with the babies?'

'Nothing with the babies, it's the pregnancy' We all look to the screen. Six legs can be viewed.

'Are you telling me I'm having three?' Jess asks.

'Yes but I don't understand, I would not have missed two babies, one can be hidden behind the other but it's impossible that I've missed two babies'

'What does that mean?'

'I'm not sure but it seems like you're multiplying. Maybe there was one baby and somehow another has grown and then another but I do know that is not normal or even possible' The doctor was confused as she frowns at the screen.

'Shit' Jess says 'How many babies am I going to have?'

'So far three but who knows if another one will appear but they're all doing well, developing rather quickly actually' Her frown deepens 'Their lungs are already starting to develop Jess, you could give birth as soon as five weeks'

'What?' Fear was etched on Jess' face 'I can't, I'm not ready' she panics.

'Well you need to get ready because look' We all look to the screen and it's like the baby was being cloned. We could see another baby coming from one of the others 'We need to get these babies out now before they keep multiplying'

'What? No, I'm not ready for this shit' Jess was crying.

'Ronnie, get Lisa and Rae, they need to help me' Ronnie nods and runs from the room 'Sonny, I need four warm blankets. Riley, go get diapers' Riley runs from the room and Lisa enters.

'Lisa, I need an incubator, their lungs aren't fully developed. Someone needs to call the local hospital, we don't have all the equipment. Ask for Dave and tell them that it's urgent and it's Sally calling'

'I'll do it' I offer. She nods and I run from the room. I call the hospital while I get blankets and throw them in the dryer. I put them on the highest setting while I'm talking to the hospital.

'No, I need Dave, it is urgent and Sally needs him' I almost yell at the stupid bitch who answered.

'Putting you through to him' she says. After a few seconds 'Hello'

'Hi, Dave, you don't know me but I'm calling for Sally, we need some equipment for babies. We have a she-wolf here who is literally multiplying in babies, she needs to get them out now and we don't have enough stuff for all four babies, their lungs aren't quite developed yet' I explain.

'Pack house?' he asks me.

'Yes' I nod.

'I'll be there in twenty minutes' he says and hangs up. I grab the blankets which were hot now and run back up to the room. Jess was out and the good doctor was proceeding a c-section. Ronnie was freaking out.
