Chapter 22

Ever since our break-up was announced to the public, kabilaan na ang mga reporter ang naghahabol sakin. Kaya naman pumayag na si Manager na magpa-special interview ako kay Tito Boy sa 'The Buzz' para daw mai-explain lahat.

"The ever gorgeous, Jasmine Fuentes of 8teen magazine is here with us."

"Good afternoon Tito Boy."

"Good afternoon din Jasmine. Di na ako magpapaligoy-ligoy pa, what is the cause of your break-up with Zac?"

"I guess our relationship did not work that well as we thought it would be." The safest answer.

"Is it true that your relationship is just a show? For the magazine? Since you and Zac are the cover. And now that it has the expected sales, you are announcing your break-up. We all know that 8teen is the most popular teen magazine in the Philippines."

"That gossip is not true. Yes, we did meet because of the magazine. But, I can say that we had a 'real' relationship." 

Yeah, how real? Real for 1 day or 1 night? *sighs*

"Was the break-up painful to you?"

"Somehow Tito Boy, but I guess it's for the better. For the two of us." Oh how I wish I can say that it's really painful and cry a river here in the studio.

 "Was there a third party involved?" 

Hala wala to sa interview questions na binigay sakin kanina >< Bakit nagkaron ng ganitong tanong? How am I supposed to answer this!

"Yes or no?"

"The break-up was just decided between the two of us. I don't know if there's any." White lies.

"Then are you oblivious of the rumor that Zac is currently dating one of his schoolmates?" Wala din dapat to sa mga tanong! Ano ba to! Bakit pinalitan? Oh why.

"I don't think I need to know that Tito Boy. We went to our separate ways already and he can date whoever he wants. If ever he has, then I will be happy for them." I answered with a smile.

"There's also a rumor that's something between you and the new talent, Mr. Harvey Santillan."

"I didn't know where that came from but we're just friends. That's the truth."

The interview ended just like that. I don't have any idea kung bakit ako ang kailangan sumagot sa mga interview. Zac announced the break-up without any explanations. There were rumors, gossips and everthing na pinapatama sa akin. Na ginamit ko lang si Zac, na I seduced him, na pinilit ko siya makipag-relationship sakin. The hell is that! Medyo baliktad pa nga e. That's why my Manager agreed to do this interview.

At bakit naiba yung questions sa huli! Akala ko nasa silya electrica na ako na hahatulan ng kamatayan kanina eh.

"Jasmine is a liar. He only used Zac, she's a bitch!"

"From the start, I know that she's not good for Zac."

"Only her face is good."

"Slut! Die girl!"

"Now Harvey? Huh the nerve!"

After the interview, I have lost a lot of fans and gain a lot of haters. I must thank Zac for this popularity (with the sarcasm).

Usap-usapan na din siya sa school. Halos di na nga nila napapansin ang kapangitan kong taglay dahil sa kakatsismis nila, palibhasa ka-schoolmate namin si Zac kaya laging updated. Hmmm.. ayun yung mga classmates kong mga palaka ay nakiki-close na kay Jen dahil alam nilang sila ni Zac.

I ended up being all alone again. Teka, kelan ba ko di nasanay?

"Uy andyan na ulit si Papa Zac!"

Nagkatinginan kami saglit pero parehas kaming umiwas.

"Jen.. tara na."

"Yieee! Lunch date!" asar nung isa naming classmate. Akala ko maiimbyerna sila kay Jen pero hindi pala. Kapag daw mahal ni Zac, mahal na din nila. Sila na mga dakilang fangirls!

They walked out the classroom. Holding hands. You're not affected Jasmine! Don't be affected! Ginulo ko yung buhok ko sa sobrang inis... sa sarili ko.

"Jasmine! Sabay na tayong mag-lunch!" sige Harvey isigaw mo pa. Lakasan mo pa ang pagbo-broadcast. As if I needed more popularity.

"Oh~ The handsome and the Beast!"

"Hahahahahahaha!"

Ang tawa ng mga classmate ko abot hanggang Japan.

"Wag mo nga akong tingnan ng ganyan Harvey! Nakakadagdag ka lang sa inis ko eh!" yung tingin niya yung parang 'ok ka lang? affected ka ba sa sinabi nila?'

"Ok! Ok! So what's up? Sasagutin mo na ba ako?"

"WHAAAAAAAAAT?" sa sobrang lakas ng boses ko e nagtinginan lahat nung nasa corridor samin.

Nakangiti lang siya sakin na parang nang-aasar. Grrr... pero magaan ang loob ko pag kausap ko tong mokong na to. Bestfriend ko nga di ba, syempre bukod kay Brett.

"Now I finally understand, you like Zac don't you?"

"Ikaw na may alam lahat! Yeah, but not anymore."

"Yeah, you don't stand a chance either. I know how much Zac really likes Jen."

Sige asinan mo pa ang sugat sa puso ko Harvey, di ka nakakatulong eh T________T

"I know." sabi ko na lang.

"Wag naman pahalata Jasmine. Nasasaktan din ako pag nakikitang nasasaktan ka."

"Ehh--? Di ko maintindihan takbo ng isip mo Harvey. Sinabi mo sakin yung mga bagay na yun pero ayaw mo akong masaktan?"

"Yeah. Truth really hurts. Kaya nga nandito ako sa tabi mo para pasayahin ka eh. It's because I like you."

Kailangan paulit-ulit talaga? Alam ko Harvey, and you're too good for me. You don't deserve someone like me na tatanga-tanga sa pag-ibig.

"Bakit ba kasi hindi na lang ako?" parang may tumusok sa puso ko.

Narinig ko na yang tanong na yan ah. Ay oo nga pala. Pano ko nga pala makakalimutan ang dramatic scene ni Jen at Zac.

Ano bang dapat kong isagot?

"Sana nga ikaw na lang" ? Hell no.

Hindi pinipilit ang feelings, hindi din to hinihingi. Di ko kailangan ng ibang tao para makamove-on. I'm Jasmine Fuentes, madami na akong pinagdaanan sa buhay, I can solve my own problems.

"Bakit mo ba ako nagustuhan Harvey? Kasi lagi mo na lang sinasabi na gusto mo ako, di ko naman alam ang rason."

"Di mo ba ako natatandaan?"
