Andromeda's POV

I can't believe it's Christmas already. The yule ball is tonight. Hermione, Ginny and I are gonna get ready together. I feel like the twins and Lee are to something. I notice them having secret conversations while looking at me. I hope they aren't planning on pranking me. Otherwise, they'll regret it.

I haven't heard from Charlie much, since the ball was announced. Last I hear some of the eggs were hatching. It's also Christmas time. He is probably with his parents and Billy. I sent him a gift though. It's nothing fancy. I know how much he loves and misses his family. So I made an album of photos of things he's missed out on since he moved to Romania. Most of the photos came from Collin. I hope Charlie likes it.

Ron asks Hermione and I again who our dates are. "I'm not telling you, you'll just make fun of me" she tells him. As I ignore him. He kept springing this question on us, hoping to startle
us into a response by asking it when we least expected it. But he's done it so often, I expect it and just ignore him.

"You're joking, Weasley!" my brother exclaims. "You're not telling me someone's asked that to the ball? Not the long-molared Mudblood?" he asks.

"Call her that again and you'll regret it brother" I sneer. Glaring at him.

"Hello, Professor Moody!" Hermione says loudly. Draco went pale and jumped backward, looking wildly around for Moody, but he was still up at the staff table, finishing his stew. "Twitchy little ferret, aren't you, Malfoy?" she asks him scathingly. We then leave the great hall before my brother could come up with a come back. We're all laughing.

"Good one Hermione" I praise.

"It was nothing" she says with a bright smile.

"Hermione, your teeth" Ron says.

"What about them?" she asks him.

"Well they're different" he states.

"You only just noticed?" I ask him.

"Did you expect me to keep those fangs Malfoy gave me?" Hermione asks him.

"No, I mean, they're different to how they were before he put that hex on you. ... They're all ... straight and normal-sized" he explains. Hermione suddenly smiled very mischievously.

"When I went up to Madam Pomfrey to get them shrunk, she held up a mirror and told me to stop her when they were back to how they normally were" Hermione tells the boys. "And I
just, let her carry on a bit" she states. "Mum and Dad won't be too pleased. I've been trying to
persuade them to let me shrink them for ages, but they wanted me to carry on with my braces. You know, they're dentists, they just don't think teeth and magic should mix" she explains.

"Look! Pigwidgeon's back" I state pointing at him. The tiny owl was twittering madly on the top of the icicle-laden banisters, a scroll of parchment tied to his leg. People passing him were pointing and laughing. A group of third year girls thought he looks cute.

"Stupid little feathery git!" Ron hisses in annoyance. He grabs Pigwidgeon. "You bring letters to the addressee! You don't hang around showing off!" he tells him. Pigwigeon just hoots happily in his hands. He takes the letter and hands it to Harry. Before letting Pigwidgeon go, telling him to go to the Owlery.

"Who's it from?" I ask.

"Sirius" Hermione whispers. After Harry read it. We went out to the grounds. We had a snowball fight. Until Hermione told me the time.

"We better go get ready" I tell her. She agreed. The boys don't understand why we need three hours to get ready. But we ignored them and returned to our common room. We go to Ginny's room where we all got ready.
