Third Task

Andromeda's POV

Exams came and went. I believe I passed everything. It's nearly time for the final task to begin. Mrs Weasley and Bill have come to watch Harry compete. As none of his family would come. Fleur's sister and her parents have come to watch her. Cedric's parents had come to watch him. Viktor's parents came to watch him. He introduced Hermione to them.

The final ask is a maze with obstacles in it. All Harry has to do. Is navigate the maze and be the first to the center. Where the Triwizard Cup will be placed. Hermione, Ron and I had helped teach Harry some useful spells, that should come in handy in the maze. I don't really care who wins, as long as it's Hogwarts. But I know the rest of my house is rooting for Harry.

Anyway, Rita Skeeter did another article. This one was about me and Charlie. She made it sound like we had a sexual relationship. Which isn't true, we're friends. Thankfully mum, helped clear up the vicious rumors. Thank Merlin. As Charlie had gotten hate mail for dating a minor. Which he destroyed. He also nearly lost his job. Until the truth was told about how we're only friends and he is teaching me about dragons. Which is true, but it's not the whole truth. But no one needs to know about our personal lives.

Though even with the truth being told. Mrs Weasley was still unsure how to react to my friendship with Charlie. Bill thinks it's great. He told me in a whisper her approves of me dating Charlie in future. That he is happy that Charlie has finally found someone to possibly settle down with in future. I'm glad Charlie's siblings like me. Now I just need to win the approval of his parents. But I have a few years before I graduate to do that.

Anyway, it is time for the third task. I am sitting with the Weasleys and Hermione. As the stands filled. The maze takes up the quidditch pitch. Which would be returned to normal after the tournament ends. Thank Merlin. Anyway, we are soon all seated.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the third and final task of the Triwizard Tournament is about to begin! Let me remind you how the points currently stand! Tied in first place, with eighty-five points each, Mr. Cedric Diggory and Mr. Harry Potter, both of Hogwarts School!" Bagman announces. Cheers erupt around the stadium, whichsent birds from the Forbidden Forest fluttering into the darkening sky.

"In second place, with eighty points, Mr. Viktor Krum, of Durmstrang Institute! And in third place Miss Fleur Delacour, of Beauxbatons Academy!" he announces. More applause. Harry waves at us and we wave back happily. "Now this task is fairly straight forward. The Triwizard Cup is hidden somewhere in the maze. The first champion to find it, wins" he explains. "Now they will enter the maze separately. First Cedric and Harry. Then Krum, followed by Miss Delacour!" he states. He then counts down and blows his whistle. Harry and Cedric enter the maze together.

Soon Viktor enters, then Fleur. Now all we can do is wait. As we can't see anything happening in the maze. Just like the Black lake. Luckily, I came prepared. As did the twins. We have exploding snap, wizard chess and I brought a couple of books for Hermione and I. Soon Professor McGonagall appears. "Miss Malfoy, should you not be in the healing tent?" she asks me.

"Oh yes" I say getting up. Putting my book away. "Sorry guys, I have to go" I tell the others.

"Where?" Mrs Weasley asks.

"I've been training with Madame Pomfrey, as I am thinking of being a healer" I tell her. "So I've been helping her treat the champions after each task and during the school term" I explain.

"I thought you wanted to be a dragon tamer?" she asks me.

"I want to be both, Madame Pomfrey and Charlie have been helping me try to find out which I want to do in future" I state. "Anyway, gotta go. See you are the victory party later" I tell them.

"You bet" Fred and George say with a wink. I smile, I may have put a bet on the outcome of the task. Harry and Cedric tying for the cup. I head down to the medical tent, next to the maze.

"Sorry I am late, anything I can do?" I ask Madame Pomfrey.

"Lay out the bandages in size order and make the portable stretchers" she tells me. As she organizes potions she may need. I got to work straight away. No sooner, then when I completed my tasks did an unconscious Fleur was brought in. "Lay her here" Madame Pomfrey says pointing to the nearest stretcher. Once Fleur was put down, Madame Pomfrey started to do some diagnostic spells. To try find out what was wrong and to see if there were any non-visible injuries. Once she was sure there was none, she turned to me. "You may wake her up" she tells me. I nod my head and draw my wand. I step forward and point it at Fleur.

"Renervate" I say and Fleur wakes up. "Are you ok Fleur? Does anything hurt?" I ask  her.

"Where am I?" she asks.

"The medical tent" Madame Pomfrey tells her. "Take this" she says handing her a healing potion. Fleur drinks it. "Do you remember anything dear?" she asks her.

"I entered the maze. I reached the first fork. I was seeing which way was north using my wand. When something hit me and then I woke up here" she explains.

"Sounds like you were stunned" I state.

"It does" Madame Pomfrey says with a frown. "Miss Malfoy, please go inform Professor Dumbledore" she tells me. I nod my head an leave the tent. I head over to Dumbledore, who is with the rest of the judges.

"Andy, how is Miss Delacour?" Dumbledore asks me.

"She is fine, but appears to have been stunned" I tell him.

"Stunned?" Madame Maxine asks. "How?" she asks.

"Unclear" I tell her. "I should get back to the medical tent. Madame Pomfrey, just wanted me to tell you what had happened to Fleur" I tell Dumbledore.

"Thank you and keep up the good work" he tells me. I nod and leave. I headed back to the medical tent. As red sparks appear from the maze. Strange, is someone in trouble?

Not long after I returned to the tent. An unconscious Viktor Krum is brought in. Like Fleur, he appears to have been stunned also. Could Harry or Cedric had done it? But why? They'd want it to be a fair fight to the finish. They wouldn't attack Fleur or Viktor without a reason. What in the name of Merlin is going on?
