It was the night before the final dance, and in the past couple days everyone had been laying low. Jessi and her cronies were still out to get us, and we're planning something big. It was probably going to occur the day of the dance.

We went shopping for dresses and other unnecessary items, but we wanted to keep them because they were from France.

So here we were, staying in our rooms or going shopping and making sure our door was securely locked until we left to good ole USA.

Lauren had planned another special dinner for us before the dance so we could bond. Everyone was excited to get out of the room, but I wanted to stay inside as much as possible. Although that wasn't great for my state of mind when it came to Blake, it helped me make decisions and think easier.

The girls had convinced me to go because it was our last couple days in Paris. I also didn't want to not be there for things that Lauren and Sophie is spending lots of money on.

Sophie's literal words were, "I'm not paying Paris for you to sit on your ass!"

I'd chuckled and gave in. She had a point.

The dinner was more casual, which was perfect for all of us, since none of us were in the mood to dress up too much.

All I knew was that we were getting pizza and going to the Eiffel Tower. That sounded really fun, considering we hadn't even gone yet.

I dressed in simple blue jeans and a black and white striped shirt. Pretty ideal for a trip to the pizza place. I was really surprised they had such a huge variety of food in Paris.

After everyone got dressed, we met the rest of the gang outside to get on a trolley. Lauren and Ailani picked up the pizza, and once we got to the tower, Aaron had a huge blanket set up for us. Ah. A picnic.

"They're showing an outdoor movie. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," Aaron explained to us. That explained the picnic blanket and large screen about 20 feet away from us. The area was pretty crowded, and it was getting dark.

"The movie isn't starting for another hour, so you guys can check out the tower and eat. The pizza is fantastic here!" Lauren smiled and took a bite of the cheesy goodness.

Everyone gobbled down their pizza, and ran out to the Eiffel Tower. Lauren asked me and you guessed it, the Devil himself to watch the picnic since we weren't finished eating yet. I'd already eaten about two and a half slices; I just couldn't get enough.

I sipped my sprite when Blake decided to say something.

"So I heard you're in love with me."

I didn't expect him to say that at all, causing me to choke on my soda and cough and sputter for a while. He chuckled slightly after a composed myself and awkwardly cleared my throat.

Then I did what any teenager would say in a moment like this.

Yes. I shoved as much pizza into my mouth as possible.

Making me look like a disgusting pig. Which was not attractive at all.

I started eating like I did at home; fast and very unlady like. After finishing my third or fourth slice, I wiped my face and turned to him. "I'm sorry, what was that?"

"Well now two things. First, you eat like a pig, and two, I heard you're in love with me."

I knew there was no more ignoring or distractions. I had to face my fear of saying it out loud. I chose to be careful with my words.

"Oh? From who exactly?"

"People."

Typical. Of course he would be as vague as me.

"What if I told you that none of that wasn't true?" I lied as I leaned in, testing him.

He leaned in as well, and we were inches from each other.

"Then I guess that would suck for both of us."

I leaned back into my original spot, taken aback by what he said. "Wait, what?"

Before I could get another word in, everyone was back in time for the movie to start. He smirked at me, and turned to the screen.

I mentally cursed myself for not getting to the point. I wanted to test him!

I shoved more pizza in my mouth, glaring at my enemy.

Sigh. Boys are so complicated.

"PEETA! PEETA!" Katniss screamed at the non breathing Peeta.

I was intrigued every time I watched sci-fi movies like these, and was always mentally putting myself in their position as I watched.

The movie was halfway over, and we were all into it. Although we'd all seen this movie about a million times, we were still interested.

Opal leaned into my ear and whispered, "I saw you two getting a little too close for comfort."

I turned my head at her smirking figure. I sighed heavily, realizing she was the bigmouth who told Blake. I could've handled that only own!

No. I was lying. I would've never said anything.

"Stop blurting out stuff, Opal!" I whisper-shouted. She shrugged, saying she didn't care.

Whatever. Maybe it was the right thing. Who knows?

I needed to get air. Not that there wasn't enough already, judging by us being outside. I walked to the Eiffel Tower behind the screen and walked the many flights of stairs to the top.

Once I got there, I spent the next few minutes zoning out on all my thoughts. All of a sudden, someone whispered in my ear, and I let out a small yelp.

"You scared--oh. What are you doing up here?"

The Devil Himself smiled and leaned into my ear again, whispering, "You figure out what I meant earlier."

He turned around, and walked away, leaving me pondering and speechless. As usual.
