MIKES POV

I stood beside Richie, obviously bored with waiting for him to finish the game he was playing. I wanted to go to Will, but he told me to wait for him since he assumed that Eddie was with Will. Being the awesome brother I am, I waited, although I was impatient.

After waiting for what seemed like an hour, he finally lost the game, making me grab his arms as he got pissed about it. I practically dragged him around, searching for Will and Eddie until we saw them from a distance, standing together playing Street Fighter. Both Richie and I scoffed at the sight, eyerolling almost in sync. We walk towards them. "Why'd you leave us?"

They didn't pay us any attention, eyes locked on the game. "Shut up, Richie," said Eddie. "I'm busy, Mike," said Will. Richie and I reacted almost the same, both annoyed. We both just walked away. I guess they didn't have any interest in anything we had to say. Richie was used to this, so he just walked away from it, but Will never acted this way towards me. I was a bit upset.

As I walked with Will on my mind, Richie looked over and spoke. "Jane on your mind?" He asks with a slight smirk. I looked over at him with a confused look, replying with pure confusion. "No, why'd you think that?" Richie just looks at me and laughs, still walking beside me. "You look love-struck."

I scoffed, taking this as a joke. I was just thinking about Will. Why would I look love-struck? "I wasn't thinking about Jane, Richie," I say as we stop in front of another arcade game. I put a quarter in and put my hands on the controls, waiting for the game to start. "What about Max? Have you two talked on the phone or anything?"

Richie became kind of quiet for a second, like he was scared to continue. I look over at him for a second before looking back at my game. "What happened?"

"Nothing happened... with her." He replied, which confused me. "Eddie? Is this about the fight you had?" I ask, Richie sighed. "No, I mean... I've just been feeling weird lately."

I roll my eyes in response. "Richie, you don't have to get all insecure on me. She only thought you were gay, but you cleared it up. I'm sure she'll grow to learn that you and Eddie are just very good friends." I tried comforting him, but he just seemed to feel worse.

"Look, we can invite the party over, I know they aren't your friends in Derry, but Eddie will be there?" I say, now focused more on my game instead of looking at Richie. I thought I was helping since he replied positively, but I didn't see the expression change after saying Eddie's name.

During the ride home

Richie, Eddie, Holly, Will, and I were all in the car that was being driven by my mom. My head was on Will's shoulder, while he sketched in the sketch book I had gotten him a few months ago, just because I saw it. "Are we still gonna create a campaign together?" I ask, my voice soft.

"Yeah, I'm drawing our characters right now." He says, a small smile on his face. "Another drawing to decorate my basement with, thank you," I say, looking down and admiring the way his skilled hands could draw so well despite being in this slightly shaky car.

"How do you draw me so accurately without looking at me?" I ask, curiously filling my voice. Will blushes a bit, his pretty face slightly flushed now. I couldn't stop myself from smiling at his reaction. "I just... remember your face very well. Every part of it." He replied, making me blush a bit as well. Every part of it, my eyes, cheeks, nose, and lips...

The car stopped before any of us could utter another word. Will broke eye contact first, closing his sketch book, then unbuckling his seatbelt. I hesitated before taking off my seatbelt. I follow behind Will, and we go inside, straight to my bedroom. I, however, couldn't get my mind off of what he said, and my eyes stayed on him.
