The party isn't bad. The last moment planning really pulled off everything. As I stood with my husband, we are surrounded by guest in whom I have no such interest. I look around at the sea of familiar and unfamiliar faces, I felt a wave of relief. The air was thick with the expensive scent of perfume, fine wine, and the fresh, calming aroma of the lavender we had worked so hard to arrange.
Soft lighting danced across the crystal glasses, making the whole hall glow with an intimate, dreamy warmth. I took a slow sip of my drink, my eyes scanning the room. The KGF elite were all here, moving like shadows in their dark suits and glittering gowns.
Man- I think this is the first time ever KGF is actually celebrating other than conducting galas, and business parties and all.
Women- I totally agree. And I heard this is all happening because of your wife who decided to do it, isn't it Mr Park?
Jimin- It is. My wife has a unique way of reminding that there's more to life than just business and deals.
His grip tightened around my waist, which made me look upto him, as his eyes soften for me.
Man 2- The future lady is bringing changes to the world and I am damn sure not everyone could digest these facts. Specially the board and council memebers.
We turn to look at the man who choose to spit the fact, and I gave him a wide smile before replying.
Suhani- Well, than they need to start digesting all these new changes, because from now on there are going to be more than just change, now that I am here.
Woman- Ofcourse, Mrs Park some of us are really loving these changes. Your presence is actually a splash of colour on gray canvas. We are already loving it.
I smiled at her way. Knowing KGF had always been a cold, rigid place.
Suhani- I just want this night to be full of celebration and happiness.
Women- It's working, Mrs Park.
She raised her drink as we all clinked our glasses, before sipping on our drinks. Across the room, I spotted Namjoon and Jisoo. They were surrounded by a small circle of friends, but they seemed to be in a world of their own. Namjoon was leaning in, whispering something that made Jisoo let out a bright, genuine laugh.
My gaze drifted to the other side of the hall where Levi and Eren were huddled together, probably discussing something far more exciting than silk ties and flower arrangements. Even in the middle of all this high-society glamour, our family was scattered throughout the room, each of them a piece of the life we had built.
