Suhani- Don't spoil your day, go on date, long drive, have some food and sex with your husband. I am sure it will be worth it.

She finally had laughed at my remark.

Jisoo- You got such good suggestions.

Suhani- Anytime.

We laughed loudly, enjoying our time. I look at my kids, Kian is already asleep in his straller but Klaire is wide awake. Jisoo and I spend, little more time together before I got Levi's icecream packed and than we finally decided to go back. But how things can go smoothly like that.

I mean, how can I easily had the fun without paying the price. Jisoo and I, had made a perfect plan, to enjoy our time, to get ourselves refresh because staying all day in closed walls is suffocating, but we forgot that it's better to stay inside than step outside.

We forgot that there's a ongoing protest in country. And now I realised that why the shopping mall also had less number of people's. The protest in the city has gone wild, and this time we are at the centre of it.

Jisoo- What do we do now?

Her voice laced with fear. As we stood on the empty road and our path has been blocked by a group of men or should I say the protestors. I look at all those men from the windshield, they are slowly walking over towards our car.

Suhani- Be calm, I'll try to talk with them to let go of us.

Jisoo- Are you crazy? Can't you see the weapons in their hands?

I looked back at my kids, both are asleep peacefully. As I took a deep breath and reached for the glove compartment pulling out my own gun, which made Jisoo gasp in surprise. I looked at her; she already looked horrified enough, and noticing my gun had made it worse.

Suhani- I am sorry. I know you hate violence, but that's the only way to deal with people like those. Stay in the car and lock the doors. If something goes down, you drive away, get yourself and the kids safe.

Before she could respond me back, I was already moving out of the car. The cool evening air immediately hit my face, carrying with it the distant smell of smoke and a palpable tension. The road was utterly deserted save for our car and the menacing group blocking our path. I started to walk towards those men who had finally stopped moving, a silent, hostile wall.

They all looked genuinely dangerous, their faces hard and shadowed in the fading light, and the makeshift weapons they were holding were frightening. Hockey bats, baseball bats studded with spikes, guns glinting dully, heavy iron chains wrapped around fists each item spoke of a readiness for brutality.

My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the unsettling quiet. I kept my expression neutral, aiming for a mask of calm I didn't feel. The air crackled with a volatile energy. Every step I took felt heavy, like wading through thick water.
