FEW MONTHS LATER.
AUTHOR POV.
The winds are blowing so wildly, the rain is pouring down heavily getting her soaked. The sky is a bruised, suffocating purple, torn apart by jagged streaks of lightning that illuminate the jagged peaks of the surrounding mountains. Suhani stands alone on a narrow, crumbling ridge, the earth slick and treacherous beneath her bare feet.
The forest behind her is a wall of twisted, skeletal black trees, their branches clawing at her hair like desperate fingers.
Every breath she takes feels like inhaling shards of ice. The rain is relentless, blinding her, turning the world into a blurred, grey nightmare.
She screams a name, but the roar of the wind swallows her voice, leaving her in a vacuum of terrifying silence. Then, through the veil of the storm, she sees him. Jimin is standing at the very edge of the precipice, his back turned to her.
He looks exactly as he did the first time she realized she loved him strong, unyielding, a king against the world. But there is a stillness in his posture that makes her heart thud painfully against her ribs.
Suhani- Jimin!
She cries out, her voice finally breaking through, raw and frantic. He begins to turn, his dark icy blue eyes searching for her through the downpour. For a fleeting second, a look of profound relief washes over his features. He reaches out a hand into her direction.
*BANG*
The sound is louder than the thunder, a sharp, lethal report that echoes off the canyon walls. Suhani's breath hitches. Time slows to a sickening crawl. She watches in helpless horror as a bloom of crimson erupts against the white of his shirt, right over his heart.
The force of the impact jerks his body backward. His eyes widen, locking onto hers with an expression of sudden, tragic clarity a silent goodbye that burns into her soul.
Suhani- No!
She lunges forward, her fingers grazing the fabric of his sleeve, but gravity is faster. Jimin's footing gives way as the edge of the cliff crumbles. He falls backward into the abyss, his silhouette disappearing into the swirling mist and the jagged darkness below.
The silence that follows is more deafening than the storm. Suhani collapses at the edge, her hands clawing at the wet earth, peering into the bottomless void where he vanished. The rain continues to pour, washing away the blood on the rocks, leaving her completely alone in a world that has suddenly lost its sun.
The grief is a physical weight, a suffocating pressure in her lungs that makes it impossible to scream. She is sinking. The ground beneath her begins to dissolve, and she feels herself falling, tumbling into the same cold darkness that claimed him.

SUHANI POV.
My eyes snapped open, my body jerking upward in the bed as I let out a strangled, gasping breath. My skin was drenched in a cold sweat, my heart hammering a frantic rhythm against my chest.
I touch my sweaty face, while trying to catch my breath. The nightmare literally killed me. The image of him falling, the sound of that shot, and the sight of the blood it felt so real that I could still feel the phantom rain on my skin.
I immediately looked beside me, the bed was empty. The sheets were still warm, the lingering scent of his cologne trapped in the pillows, but he was gone. He was here when we slept, where did he go suddenly?
I grab my phone and look at the time. It's 2:30 in the morning. Still the middle of the night, when the world is quiet and the shadows are the longest. My hands are still trembling as I get off the bed, picking up my nightgown from the floor, which my husband had only discarded a few hours ago.
