SUHANI POV.
FOUR MONTHS AGO.
The mission was supposed to be a surgical strike. Simple. Clean. A high-level drug mob leader had siphoned millions from KGF's transit lines, and Namjoon had personally assigned me to lead the extraction team. It was my chance to prove that the Lady of KGF wasn't just a title of grace, but one of iron.
I adjusted the strap of my tactical vest, the matte black finish of my suit blending perfectly into the midnight shadows of the pier. I reload my gun, looking at Tobby and four man beside me. The breach team who waited for my signal. The warehouse loomed ahead. A rusted iron beast housing the woman who had dared to bleed KGF's accounts dry.
Tobby- Thermal shows six signatures in the main bay.
He whispered, while looking into the wearable tactical display.
Tobby-There are two more in the lift and the main target is in back office.
I breathe heavily, looking around my team. We had already finished more than half of the mission, took out almost all those goons who came our way.
Suhani- Great, let's end this once and for all. Tobby, you will take three men with you to the basement. Seal whatever drugs and weapons they have left. Get a second team in here to haul the inventory out.
Tobby- Are you going to finish the mob alone?
Suhani- I can take her out. One man will give me cover. The remaining ones will deal with the men on the second floor.
I checked the serrated edge of my knife, ensuring it was loose in its sheath, before tucking it back into place. Everyone nodded at my order, falling into their roles with mechanical efficiency. I tightened my tactical gloves, raised my rifle to my shoulder, and signaled the man nearest the entrance. He moved forward, slapping a breaching charge onto the heavy iron door.
Three... two... one...
BOOM.
The door didn't just open it disintegrated. The shockwave rattled my teeth as I charged through the smoke, my rifle lead-lining the way. Two men lunged from behind a stack of shipping crates, their handguns raised. I didn't hesitate.
I dropped to one knee, the fabric of my tactical pants sliding over the gritty floor, and fired two short, controlled bursts. They went down before they could even find their triggers.
Man- Clear right!
My cover man shouted, his rifle barking beside my ear. I ignored the ringing in my head and sprinted toward the metal stairs leading to the office loft. A man swung a lead pipe at my head from the shadows of a forklift. I ducked under the swing, the air whistling over my hair, and drove the butt of my rifle into his face.
As he gasped for air, I spun around and delivered a devastating kick to his knee, hearing the bone snap before I shoved him aside. The stairs were narrow. I threw a flashbang toward the top railing.
BANG.
The blinding white light and deafening roar gave me the two-second window I needed. I flew up the stairs, my boots thudding against the metal. The two guards in the lift didn't stand a chance. I neutralized them with precise shots to the shoulders taking them out of the fight without wasting time on a kill.
I reached the back office door, my lungs burning, the scent of gunpowder and ozone thick in the air. This was it. I kicked the door off its hinges, glass shattering everywhere as I stormed inside, my rifle leveled at the silhouette standing behind the desk.
