Chapter 31 - Hiding My Heart

"You gotta do something.. ayoko na ng ganito.." Albert said.

"Sa tingin mo ba gusto ko na nagkakaganito tayo? Of course not. Ikaw lang naman ang inaantay ko diba, any moment pwede ko ng sabihin kay Jerome ang lahat, para makaganti na ako, pwede ko na syang iwan.." Cesca said.

"Ako pa pala ngayon.. diba noon ko pa sinasabi sayo na mag sama na tayo? Ikaw ang unang tumanggi.." Albert yelled.

"Oo ako nga, sabi ko just give me few months para unti unti akong makaganti kay Jerome.. at ikaw, maayos mong masabi kay Valeen ang totoo, para hindi sya masaktan, but It's been 4 months Albert! 4 months hindi mo pa din magawang aminin kay Valeen ang totoo.." Cesca responded.

Albert became silent again..

"See.. nanahimik ka na naman, kasi hindi mo sya magawang iwan.." She said.

"Siguro kasi, mahal mo na din sya.." Cesca added. And left Albert at their dining table.

"Cesca, come back here." Albert said but Cesca didn't listen to her. Instead, she left the house without saying goodbye.

...

"Honey, tamang tama ang dating mo, I cooked some pasta for you." Jerome said.

Jerome is still using his wheelchair. He could not totally walk firmly but at least he can stand and move his legs. But his private nurse is always there to guide him.

"You don't have to do this Honey, mapapagod ka lang.." Cesca said.

"Come on Sam, it's for you naman eh, kaya okay lang. Mabuti na rin toh, atleast nakakapag exercise ako." Jerome said.

"Ikaw ang bahala" Cesca said.

After their dinner. Marcus accompanied Samantha to carry Jerome upstair to their bedroom.

"Thank you, Marcus, sige pwede ka na munang umuwi. Bumalik ka na lang sa Lunes. Salamat" Cesca said.

"Sige po Ma'am, Salamat po". the nurse said and left.

Jerome was wondering why did Samantha said that the nurse will be back on Monday because it's just friday night.

"Why Monday? Diba may work ka pa bukas, sa resto ni Ria?" Jerome asked.

"No,I won't go to work tomorrow night. Nakausap ko na si Ria. Gusto ko munang magpahinga. Para maasikaso din muna kita.." Cesca said.

Jerome was so glad to hear that.

"Talaga? Thanks honey, alam mo malapit na kong magduda at mag selos sa work mo.. late ka na palagi umuuwi.. tapos minsan after ng gig mo resto ni Ria, Sunday ka na umuuwi." Jerome said.

"Hon alam mo namang busy lang ako work.. at please naman, wag mo kong pagdudahan.. hindi ko naman gagawin sa'yo 'yung ginawa mo sakin..." Cesca gave him a fake hug.

"Sorry, sorry.. na miss lang kasi kita.." Jerome whispered. He gently touch her face.

Cesca is ereally tired of pretending. But she needs to do it. She kissed him back.

"Uhm, magpahinga na tayo hon.. napagod kasi ako sa school kanina." Cesca finally had an alibi.

"Albert, I'm ready.. hindi pa ba tayo aalis?" Valeen asked while waiting for her husband downstairs.

"Pababa na ko, please tell Peter na papunta na tayo.." Albert said.

Albert's POV.

Maybe this is the right time, para aminin ko na kay Valeen kung sino talaga si Samantha.
