"Morning." I smiled at Azure as I sat down in the dimly lit living-room area of our caravan. The bright morning sunshine peeped through the gaps in the curtains."Here's your coffee." I handed her the cherry red mug, filled with the awakening and sweet scent of freshly made coffee, before placing my own down on the table in front of us.
"Thanks," she smiled gratefully, taking a sip.
"Sleep well?" I asked.
"Yeah, the sofa bed is surprisingly comfy."
"I'm glad." I grinned.
"So what are we doing today?" she asked with big excitable eyes.
"Beach?" I suggested. "Everyone's going down there today but we don't have to. It's your first day- we can do whatever you want to do."
"No it's fine! I'd quite like to go to the beach actually. Are George and Luke going?" she questioned, sipping her hot beverage.
"They were planning on it. Hang on, I'll text Luke..." I fired him a quick text before locking my phone. Within minutes I got a reply.
"Is that him?"
"Yeah," I smiled. "They're all going!"
"Will his mates be there?" she asked with hopeful eyes.
"I guess..."
"Morning girls," my mothers voice echoed from the kitchen area.
"Morning, Lucy." Smiled Azure.
"Hi, mum."
"What are your plans for today then?" she asked, putting away the carton of milk I had accidentally left out.
"I think we're going to go to the beach."
"That'll be nice! Got good weather for it- it's scorching out there!" She smiled. "I think we're all going down actually. Nan and grandad are already down there with the beach hut keys as they're setting up," she explained.
"Yeah, we'll probably be down in a bit," I added.
"Well have fun! And Azure, enjoy your first day." She smiled widely. "I'm just popping down to the shops, I might see you before you go, but if not, I'll see you at the beach. Can I get you anything?"
"We're fine thanks."
"Okay, well, I'll see you shortly."

Having finally gotten ready, Azure and I were on our way to the beach. We could have waited for the bus, however, we both agreed that a brisk twenty minute walk on that glorious day wouldn't be so bad after all. Besides, this way we got to encounter all of the scenic views of the hills, farms and little cottages and it saved us money from the bus fare.
Everybody except for Luke and the boys were there when we arrived. I figured the reason everyone was up and out so early was to make the most of the gorgeous weather. To make the most of the glorious sun, Azure and I both took a striped deck chair from the beach hut and chilled in the heat next to my cousins.
"I haven't seen much of you these last few days, Em," James said from next to me.
"I know, I'm sorry. Why don't we all do something tonight?"
"Like what?"
"We could walk up the hill?" Tom uttered from next to him.
"Oh my god yes!"
