Chapter 18

"Emilia!" said a girls voice.

"Emilia, wake up."

Then again.

I flickered my eyes open before shutting them immediately after due to the bright intense light. It then came to my realisation that the voice was coming from Azure.

"Em...?" She tapped my arm in attempt to get a response.

"Mmm..." I muttered, flipping over so I was facing her and perching on my elbows as my sleepy eyes tried to focus.

"Morning sleepy head!" she giggled. "Dude, it's like lunchtime! Your parents and Oliver have all gone to the beach with your nan and granddad. I told them not to wake you."

"Wait- what time is it?" I rubbed my eyes, trying to shake free the sleepy sensation.

"Almost twelve."

"Oh God, I'm sorry."

"How comes you were so tired?" she laughed.

"I was texting Luke," I let out a faint chuckle.

"Oh..." She raised an eyebrow at me; a smile evident on her lips, "at like, two in the morning?"

"Neither of us could sleep!" I defended.

"Okay..." she smirked. "So what do you wanna do today?"

"He actually asked if we wanted to play crazy golf with the boys?"

"Yeah sure! That sounds fun." She smiled. "What time? Cos, like I said, it's like twelve now..."

"I don't know, I'll phone Luke."

"Okay, well I'm just getting ready, I'll leave you two some space to talk..." She winked causing me to groan in response. 

Laying back down, I rubbed at my tired eyes and picked up my phone which lay next to me. Having found Luke's number, I hesitated for a second before hitting the call button. It rung a few times before he answered.

"Em?"

"Hey, you okay?"

"Yeah thanks, did you sleep alright?"

"Yeah, I must've dozed off immediately... I don't remember anything after we spoke." I laughed. "I actually only just woke up..." I admitted.

"Awww, you must've been really tired. At least you slept well," he said sweetly. "So do you still want to play crazy golf with us in a bit?"

"I was actually phoning to ask what time..." I giggled faintly.

"Meet us there at... say, one?"

"Sure." I smiled, even though he couldn't see it.

"Okay, so- what? ... I'll ask her now... Sorry about that- Ash wants to know if Azure is going?"

"Yeah, she's coming" I laughed.

"Okay, so I'll see you later?"

"Yeah, see ya in a bit."

"Bye."

"Bye."

"Hey." I smiled, walking over to the boys.

Ashton was the first to recognise me and Azure, "Hi, you guys alright?"

"Yeah thanks, you?" smiled Azure.

As she made conversation with the boys, I walked over to Luke who's eyes followed mine with a small smile peeking at the corners of his lips.

"Hi," I said sweetly.
