"So what's your plan next?"

"Well, we've got a lot of writing sessions booked over the winter... so there's that. I don't know really, I'd love to do another tour... Maybe in some other countries. As long as I'm making music, I honestly don't care," said Luke from behind me. I rested my head back onto his firm chest as I stretched my legs out from between his. The shade of the old apple tree we were leant against provided us with the perfect spot to sit.

"You're such an inspiration, Luke," I said, sweetly. He looked down at me from above with an eyebrow arched in question. Tilting my head back and looking directly up at him, I soon answered his unspoken questions. "You dropped out of college to pursue something that you love doing." I tried to reason with him. "Like, your risking it all for happiness and for your passion and love of music... That's pretty balls' y if you ask me!"

"Balls'y?" He chuckled.

"You know what I mean!" I scoffed, having slumped back down onto his chest. "I'm just proud of you."

"Thanks," he chuckled, aimlessly playing with my fingertips which rested on my lap: he was always one to get nervous when paid a compliment. I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a slight thrill each and every time he traced my digits with his own. In fact, it made me giddy inside; I really needed to get a grip of myself. "We actually really need to uh, practise soon... It's been, like, two weeks since we last had a proper rehearsal."

"You should! I know Azure's dying to see you guys play."

"I'll talk to the boys about it," he grinned and I couldn't resist prodding the dimples that formed on the side of his cheeks as I adoringly looked up at him. Those dimples were the icing on the cake. Luke was highly attractive- that's a given. But whenever he cracked a wide smile and those two dimples appeared on either side of his cheeks, he became irresistible.

"I wish I was musically talented..." I pouted.

He gently laughed. "Why, what would you want to play?"

"I've always wanted to play guitar but it's just so damn hard! I honestly don't know how you do it."

His eyes seemed to light up and sparkle at the mention of his beloved instrument. "I could teach you, Em!" He beamed.

"I'd probably break it."

"Don't be stupid," he laughed. "I'll teach you, okay?"

"Okay." I smiled up at him as he leant over so that he was hovering upside down above me and softly pressed his lips to mine. "Promise?"

"I promise," he whispered above my lips, before sitting back up straight against the trunk of the tree. And just like that, he had managed to once again leave me utterly breathless.

"We should probably get going soon," I said as my mind wondered to Azure and the guilt began to build at the fact that I had left her again. I didn't want to leave; It was just that we'd been in that meadow for longer than I had expected. Time always seemed to fly when I spent it with Luke- whenever I was with him it was as if I could escape from everything. We had our own little bubble that enabled us to forget about the world and all of life's dramas and just enjoy the current moment. That's something I've always adored about Luke, being with him was a getaway to happiness- something people should hang on to more often in this busy world.

"Yeah," Luke agreed as I turned around in his lap. "It's just nice to get away sometimes..."

"Definitely," I mumbled; my body was now directly facing him. "We should do this more often..." I said, my hands twirling his curls of blonde around my fingers as my eyes couldn't resist but to settle upon his plump and parted lips. In the short time I had been with Luke, I had realised that this was one of his many weaknesses; having his hair played with. He lazily smiled; the sensation of my fingers clearly lulling him to a peaceful and euphoric state of mind as his eyes fluttered shut. He pouted his lips out initiating a kiss, clearly too lazy and comfortable to move and be the one to actually lean in. I giggled at his lazy attempt to receive a kiss on the lips and as I did my eyes caught the attention of something behind him. I squinted in attempt to make out the familiar markings that had caught my eye; I couldn't believe it.
