'What were you doing with that boy'Those were the words which were currently tearing at my brain. I lay in bed early Sunday morning and my mind wondered over the events of last night.
Ashton, Calum and Michael seemed to be really nice, funny, genuine boys and I knew we were all going to get along- I couldn't wait for Azure to turn up, she'd love them.
However, I couldn't shift those seven words my nan had said to me. The way they fell from her mouth so bitterly, as if with disgust. I had no idea what her problem was. She'd never had a problem with Luke in the past. Maybe it was the lip piercing that sparked her sudden disliking towards Luke; I knew she was always slightly prejudice against people with tattoos or piercings, however, I couldn't come to terms with how a simple piece of metal could change someone's opinion of someone they'd known for years.
Nonetheless, I was excited to see Luke and the boys later on. Today, they were all going to practice a few songs and Luke had asked me if I wanted to come along and hear them play- of course I said yes; I was itching to hear Luke sing.
"Morning Em," said my mum's cheery voice. It bewildered me how she was always a morning person. "Me and your dad are just popping down to the shop- gotta get some bits for the barbecue later on. You will be joining us right?" she said as I took a bowl and filled it with chocolate shreddies.
"Yeah, what time?" I wondered, fetching a spoon from the drawer.
"Well, we're all meeting at the beach around seven tonight."
"Okay, I'm sure I'll be back by then," I said taking a mouthful of the chocolate flavoured milk.
"Well, we'll see you later then! Oliver's going to some waterpark with Uncle John today so you can lock up whenever! See you later," she said, kissing my cheek and making her way out the door to join my dad who was in conversation with my uncle outside our caravans.
Once my family had left me to get on, I put my music on in the bathroom and quickly jumped in the shower. It was fairly hot out so I slipped on my favourite white sundress. It had a sweetheart neckline but with thin straps and was singed in at the waist. The dress finished about mid-thigh length and I grabbed my blue lace kimono to put on top. I slipped on a pair of brown roman sandals and searched for my sunglasses.
By the time I was ready, Luke had texted to say he was on his way and insisted to pick me up from my caravan as he now knew where it was- well, roughly.
I was just shutting the windows when I saw a familiar tall and slender figure in his usual skinny jeans (despite the heat) from outside the window, looking rather lost as he spun around in confusion. I decided to put the poor boy out of his misery as I quietly crept up behind him. Reaching up on my tiptoes, I stretched my arms out infront to cover both his eyes with my hands.
"Looking for someone?" I giggled. He took his hands up to mine and interlocked them, spinning around to come face to face with me.
"Found her," he laughed back, looking me up and down while faintly stroking my palm with the pad of his thumb. It's safe to say my stomach was doing summersaults at this point in time. I took this chance to see what he was wearing. His usual attire of black jeans were paired with a Nirvana tank top and black sunglasses.
"So, we should get going," he laughed, snapping me from my daze.
"One sec." I quickly ran into the caravan and grabbed my bag before locking the door and sliding into his car.
"So what's the plan for today then?" I asked as we drove to the tunes of Green Day.
"Well we're just gonna play a few songs and that as we haven't in a while and then we can, I don't know, walk into town?"
