Could It Get Any Worse

Sophie wakes up next to Pete and pets his head. She turns on her favorite songs and gets dressed. She dances to Bang Dem Sticks by Meghan Trainor happily.

She picks out a white tank, grey printed high waisted shorts, and black converse. She puts them on and puts in her contacts. She curls her hair and puts on her makeup.

She puts Pete's food in his dog bowl and fills up his water bowl. She kisses Pete's head and walks out the front door.

She gets a text.

"Wanna catch a movie today? -Link"

She smiles and texts back.

"Sure! But gotta get my Starbucks first. ;) -Sophie"

She gets into her car and drives to the nearest Starbucks. She parks the car in the parking lot and walks inside.

She sees Lizzy and runs to her. She gives her a hug and they order together.

She gets her strawberry frappiccino and walks out. She drinks it and gets back into her car and Lizzy gets into hers.

She gets a text from Link.

"Sorry Sophie. I can't make it to the movies today... :( -Link"

Sophie gets out of her car and walks to Lizzy's car. She knocks on the window and Lizzy rolls it down.

"Hey. Wanna go see a movie? Link bailed on me, so..." Asks Sophie.

"Sure! I'd love to!" Says Lizzy.

"Okay. Meet me there in 5 minutes?" Says Sophie.

"Okay." Says Lizzy.

Sophie gets back into her car and drives to the theater, drinking her frappiccino. She parks her car and gets out. She waits outside for Lizzy for 2 minutes before she arrives. Lizzy gets out of her car and walks inside with Sophie.

They get their tickets and popcorn. They walk inside the theater and sit down. They see a couple kissing in front of them.

"Get a room. Seriously." Whispers Lizzy to Sophie.

"Right." Whispers Sophie back.

They watch the movie and then it finishes.

"That was a great movie!" Says Lizzy before they walk through the front doors.

"I know right?" Says Sophie.

"Bye Liz." Says Sophie before hugging Lizzy.

Lizzy hugs Sophie and says,"Bye Soph. See ya tomorrow."

Sophie gets into her car and drives back to her dorm. She opens the door and sees Link sitting at the kitchen table, chuckling and looking at his phone

She closes the door behind her and walks to the kitchen. She makes herself some salad and brings it to the kitchen table. She sits across from Link at the table.

She eats and looks up at Link.

"What's so funny?" Asks Sophie.

"Oh nothing." Says Link.

Link smiles.

Sophie raises one eyebrow and rolls her eyes.

Link types something on his phone and smiles.

Sophie reaches out to grab his phone and grabs it. She tries pulling it and Link pulls it towards himself and yells,"Hey! Stop!"

Sophie swipes it from his hands and then looks down at Link's hand.
