Link sits on his couch and calls Rhett.
"Rhett?" Says Link.
"Yeah man?" Says Rhett.
"I need to ask you something, can you come over?" Asks Link.
"Yeah. Be there in a sec." Says Rhett.
Rhett drives to Link's dorm and knocks on the door. Link lets him in and they both sit on the couch.
"I've been thinking." Says Link.
"About?" Says Rhett.
"I... I just really love Sophie. I think I wanna marry her." Says Link as he smiles.
(Btw Sophie is 21 and Rhett and Link are 22 )
"You should totally go for it! She is really into you too!" Says Rhett trying to hold in his jealousy.
"But... How should I do it?"
"How about this, you invite Sophie, Lizzy, and I to the beach tomorrow. You and Sophie run around for a little. You write a note in a bottle saying,"Will you marry me?" before hand. She finds it and reads it and before she finishes, you bend down on one knee behind her and ask her. What about that?" Says Rhett.
"Rhett, you're a genius!" Says Link.
"Well, I saw it in a movie too. Heh heh." Says Rhett.
"You sure you're cool with coming?" Asks Link.
"Of course! Anything for my best bud!" Says Rhett.
"Thanks man." Says Link.
"No problem bro." Says Rhett.
Rhett and Link say goodbye and Rhett goes back to his dorm. Link flops onto his bed and sits on his knees. He folds his hands and prays.
"Dear God, Thank you for my beautiful girlfriend Sophie and my amazing best friend Rhett. Please give me the courage tomorrow to ask Sophie if she will be mine forever. I can only have faith and hope that she will say yes."
Link holds the diamond ring in his hand and smiles.
"Keep her and her family safe for as long as we live. In Jesus name, amen."
