Sophie gets out of her bed and stares at the clock.

4:57 am

She puts in her contacts and puts on her tights, leotard, leggings, a sweater, and boots. She puts her hair into a bun and grabs a cereal bar. She shoves it into her dance bag and walks out the door.

She opens her door and sets her dance bag down. She walks to her room and puts on a white sweater, skinny jeans, and black high heels. She curls her hair and puts on a black beanie. She puts on red lipstick, grabs her purse and walks out the door.

She walks to the college building and receives an email from her professor.

We'll be meeting for class in the gym today.

Sophie walks to the gym which is a bit farther. She opens the door to the gym and greets Lizzy.

She looks around for the professor with Lizzy.

"Where is he?" Asks Sophie.

"I don't know." Says Lizzy shrugging.

"I'll go ask one of the basketball players." Says Sophie walking towards the court.

A basketball comes flying towards Sophie and she catches it.

She breathes out, relieved.

A tall boy runs up to Sophie quickly.

"I'm so sorry about that." Says the boy.

Sophie blushes.

He's really cute... Thinks Sophie.

"It's fine. Hey, have you seen the math professor anywhere?" Asks Sophie looking slightly up to him and handing him the basketball.

"I think he went to the exercise room." Says the boy taking the basketball.

"Okay, thanks!" Says Sophie.

Sophie runs back to Lizzy and they run to the exercise room.

The professor clears his throat.

"Guys! We're going to be having the basketball players teach us how to play basketball this week. Let's go back to the basketball gym and we'll partner you each up with a player." Says the professor.

They all walk back to where the basketball players are practicing.

The boy that Sophie talked to swishes a 3 point shot right next to Sophie.

Sophie smiles and claps.

The boy looks over to Sophie and smiles back at her.

The professor walks over.

"Okay! Basketball players! I will be pairing you up with people from my class this week! You guys will be teaching them basketball skills!" Announces the professor.

Sophie looks over and sees Rhett.

Rhett waves and Sophie waves back.

"Okay Rhett." Says the professor. "You'll be with Trey."

Rhett walks over to the player a bit taller than him and Trey hands Rhett a basketball.

He assigns everyone else partners except for Sophie and Lizzy.

"Lizzy. You'll be with David." Says the professor.

Lizzy walks over to David, a boy slightly taller than her and smiles at him.

"And Sophie, you'll be with him." Says the professor pointing to the cute boy that she talked to earlier.

Sophie looks to the boy and he smirks.

Omg Thinks Sophie while blushing.

She walks over to him and he smiles.

"Hey. Oh sorry, I didn't catch your name?" Says the boy.

"I'm Sophie Bellerose."

"I'm Kevin Reep-waaaait..." says Kevin. "You're Sophie?!"

Sophie nods yes.

"We went to the Valentine's day dance together back in high school!" Says Kevin.

"Oh my gosh Kevin. I thought I'd never see you again after that!"

"I never knew that we went to the same college." Says Kevin. "And wow. Looks like someone got hit by the wrecking ball of puberty." He winks.

Sophie laughs.

"You don't look too bad yourself." Says Sophie.

Rhett and Trey walk over to them.

Trey fist bumps Kevin.

Kevin looks at Rhett and recognizes him.

"Sup Rhett." Says Kevin.

"Don't act like we're cool now!" Says Rhett angrily.

"What are you talking about dude?" Asks Kevin with a puzzled look on his face.

"You took Sophie to the high school dance when you knew that I was going to ask her first!" Says Rhett.

"Hey, calm down! I asked her first and she said yes!"

"You ruined everything Kevin!"

"Rhett! I went with Kevin and we had a great time! And I went to prom with you Rhett!" Says Sophie.

"He dumped you a month after that dance!" Says Rhett.

"You cheated on me twice! I don't know why I went to prom with you twice Rhett!"

"That's not cool dude." Says Kevin to Rhett.

"Gosh Sophie! You know that he is a player! He played you! You didn't know it!" Says Rhett.

"Kevin never played me! You did!" Says Sophie.

"Whatever! He was the douchebag anyways! Don't say I didn't warn you!" Yells Rhett walking away with Trey.

"Whatever." Says Kevin. "Here catch!" Says Kevin throwing Sophie a basketball.

She dribbles it a decent ways away from the basket and Kevin comes up behind her.

Sophie holds the basketball.

Kevin grabs her hands holding the basketball and shows her how to shoot.

Sophie shoots and makes it.

"That was sick!" Says Kevin smiling.

Kevin gets the ball. He runs and makes anther perfect 3 point shot.

"Damn Kevin. You're amazing." Says Sophie.

Kevin smiles.

The professor blows a whistle and Sophie's class grabs their things before leaving.

"Well, looks like I gotta go." Says Sophie turning around and starting to walk away.

"Wait." Says Kevin putting his hand on her shoulder.

Sophie turns around and looks up into his eyes.

"D-Did you maybe wanna... Go see a movie and maybe get dinner?" Stutters Kevin.

"There's no way I could-"

Kevin looks down embarrassed.

"There's no way I could say no to you."

"Are you serious?" Asks Kevin not believing her. He looks down, thinking she's lying.

Sophie puts her hand on his cheek and he looks back to her.

"Of course Kevin."

Kevin smiles.
