It Will Rain

Link wakes up on the couch and looks at Sophie.

She's still alive. Thinks Link.

The doctor walks into the room.

"Hello." Says the doctor.

"Hi." Says Link.

"She's still breathing, she's just still in the coma."

Link breathes a sigh of relief.

"Thank God." Says Link. "One quick thing... I'm going to go to her house and get her friend and inform her about all of this."

"Okay. We'll be here when you get back."

"Thanks." Says Link grabbing his phone and walking out of the room.

He gets into his car and drives to Sophie's dorm. He walks inside the dorm and looks around. He sees the gun that Sophie used and hides it.

The front door opens again and Lizzy walks in.

"Sophie! I'm back!" Says Lizzy looking around.

Link walks out of Sophie's room and looks around, making sure nothing else is giving away any clues as to what happened.

"Oh, hey Link." Says Lizzy.

"Hi. I need to tell you something." Says Link.

"What is it?" Asks Lizzy.

"Well... Yesterday, me, Rhett, and Kevin came over here to apologize to her. And... long story short... She committed suicide." Says Link as a tear runs down his cheek.

"You're kidding right?"

"No."

Lizzy puts her face into her hands and cries.

"W-Why?"

"It's all my fault." Says Link. "She's in a coma at the hospital. They don't know if she'll make it."

"Can you take me to see her?

Link nods.

He walks out of the dorm with Lizzy and into his car. They drive to the hospital and walk into Sophie's hospital room.

They see Rhett sitting on the couch next to Sophie's bed, holding a bouquet of roses.

Lizzy covers her mouth when she sees Sophie.

"H-Hey guys." Stutters Rhett, wiping away his tear.

"Hi." Says Link. "How long have you been here?"

"I-It's kinda hard to s-see the clock when y-you've been crying, y-you know?" Says Rhett crying.

A tear runs down Link's cheek and he grabs Sophie's hand.

Another tear runs down Lizzy's face and she looks down.

"S-She'll make it... She h-has to." Says Lizzy.

"She's a strong girl... S-She will." Says Rhett.

Link pauses and takes a deep breath.

"I just-"

The door bursts open and the doctor walks in.

"How's she doing?" Asks the doctor.

"I mean she's still breathing." Says Lizzy. "How much longer do you think it'll be before she wakes up?"

"She should wake up sometime today, but we're not 100% sure."

Link and Rhett sit down on the couch in the hospital room. They hear shuffling underneath the blankets and quickly glance at Sophie.
