Welcome To New York

Sophie wakes up the next morning and smiles. She puts in her contacts and makes herself breakfast before rehearsal. She eats and watches tv.

She receives a text from Samantha.

Hey Sophie! Wanna come over to my hotel room after the performance tonight? -Samantha

She texts back.

Uhm, YESS! -Sophie

Great! I'll see you at rehearsal in a bit. -Samantha

Sophie puts down her phone and puts on her tights, leotard, and shorts. She puts her hair into a bun and grabs her dance bag. She puts her shoes on and fills up her water bottle. She walks downstairs and gets into her car. She drives through a lot of traffic and arrives at rehearsal on time.

They change straight into the beautiful, flowy, grey dresses and put on their ballet slippers.

The show starts and the first group of dancers runs on stage.

Sophie and the dance company run into the wings of the stage. They patiently wait for their turn to perform their dance The Garden. The other dance concludes and the dancers walk on stage and pose like beautiful statues in a garden. They dance slowly and beautifully to the peaceful music. They dance finishes and the dancers bow together.

They all run off stage and to their dressing room.

"Do you remember the pointe dance that Lori gave us in class? We have to perform it. The Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy. We've got 3 dances left before we go on." Says another dancer Chloe.

"Dang! Whatever. We've got time." Says Sophie.

She and the other dancers put on their pointe shoes quickly and put on their tutus.

They run to the stage wings with one dance left before they go on. They watch the beautiful ballet dance performed by the other dance company. They finish and walk off, wishing Sophie and the others good luck. They walk on stage and the music starts. They dance beautifully and gracefully and pose at the end.

10 DANCES LATER...

Sophie and the company put on their jazz shoes and black tights to get ready to finish off the recital.

They walk on stage immediately and take their spots. The song Bang Bang plays and the dancers dance amazingly and happily to the upbeat tune. The song finishes and they all smile at each other. They bow while the audience madly applauds them.

They walk off stage and back to their dressing room. They take off their dance shoes and put on their dresses.

Sophie puts on a pretty black dress and black flats. She walks out into the entrance and a few people tell her how well she did. Sophie gets her picture taken outside and then leaves happily.

She arrives at the hotel room and smiles widely. She changes into black shorts and a red shirt. She takes her hair out of the bun and shakes it out. She puts her shoes back on and walks to Samantha's hotel room.
