Sophie wakes up at 6:45 am and sits up. She looks over and sighs.
Link's not here. Actually, he's probably not coming back anyways. Sophie thinks.
She sees Link's camouflage shirt and picks it up. She puts it in her suitcase and thinks of Link.
She gets up and takes a shower. She changes into a pair of skinny jeans, a black t-shirt from her dance company, and her black converse. She straightens her hair and does a little makeup. She puts on bright red lipstick and checks everything in her suitcase.
She hears a knock at the door. She runs to the door and looks through the peep-hole.
To her surprise, she sees Link, wearing a white hoodie, his usual skinny jeans, and a pair of sneakers.
"I do not wish to see you." Says Sophie through the door, slightly dying inside.
"Can you please let me in?" Asks Link, upset.
Sophie slowly opens the door hesitantly.
"Sophie, I'm dying without you. I'm sorry. Can you give me another chance?" Asks Link.
"I... I can't." Says Sophie.
"Please."
She starts singing beautifully.
"And there you are on your knees... Begging for forgiveness, begging for me. Just like I always wanted, but I'm so sorry... Cause I'm not your princess, this ain't a fairytale. I'm gonna find someone someday, who might actually treat me well!" A tear runs down her cheek.
"Please leave." Says Sophie.
"I'm not giving up on you. You didn't give up on me before, so I'm not giving up on you." Says Link.
"I said leave." Says Sophie, her little heart breaking inside.
"I'm not leaving."
"I can't trust you anymore."
"I'm not that Link anymore."
"Please leave."
"Alright... Fine." Says Link.
He puts his hands in his pocket and walks out the door.
Sophie balls out crying.
Link stands outside the door and hears her crying.
"I will never be over you Sophie."
Link starts singing sadly. (He sings After The Love Has Gone by Earth Wind & Fire) as he slowly walks away.

He gets in his car and drives back to his place.
Sophie stops crying finally and calls Lizzy.
She answers in 2 seconds.
"Hey Liz?"
"What's up?"
"Can you come over here and take care of Pete while I'm gone? The whole dance company is flying to New York later today and we're staying until Saturday morning."
"Sure. I'll be right over."
"Thanks."
Lizzy arrives at their dorm and Sophie tells Lizzy where all the dog food and toys are.
"Alright. I guess that's everything." Says Sophie.
"Thanks. And have fun." Says Lizzy.
"Bye Liz." Says Sophie hugging Lizzy.
Lizzy hugs her back.
"Bye Soph." Says Lizzy.
Sophie grabs her suitcase, purse, and backpack and says goodbye to Pete.
She walks out the door and takes a deep breath. She carries her suitcase to her car and drives to the airport to meet the rest of the dance company.
MEANWHILE...
Link grabs his suitcase, wallet, and backpack. He walks out the door and drives to the airport.
Sophie arrives at the airport and meets up with the dance company. They quickly get on their plane to New York. The plane finally takes off.
Link arrives at the airport late. He tries to book a flight, but none are available today. He books a flight to New York on Thursday.
Sophie sits next to Samantha and talks to her about how excited she is.
Link drives back home and sighs. He flops onto his back on the bed. He looks at the picture of himself and Sophie on his nightstand and grabs it. A tear runs down his cheek and he throws the picture down on the ground. He starts crying hard.
"I-I'm sorry S-Sophie. I let y-you down. I hate myself for l-losing you. I can't live without y-you..." says Link crying.
The song "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Maroon 5 randomly plays on his phone. He cries even more and starts singing it.
Sophie scrolls through her phone and sees a picture of her and Link. A tear runs down her face.
I still love you. Thinks Sophie.
5 HOURS LATER...
Sophie's plane arrives in New York City. They get settled into their hotels and go to sleep.
Link cries himself to sleep.
