Year Four
fifty nine. It's not a Gryffindor Party without Fire Whiskey
"No."
"Lucy! Come on! How many fourth years do you know getting invited to Gryffindor parties?" Magnolia sat in the Hufflepuff common room trying to convince her friend to go along with her.
"I'm not going to drink! Fred just invited me and you know..." Magnolia trailed off as Lucille rolled her eyes.
"That you have the biggest crush on him? Yeah Maggie all of Hogwarts knows." Lucille jokes as her best friend rolls her eyes. "Is Everett going?"
"No, Beauxbatons is having their own celebration for Fleur passing. Wouldn't really be good if she showed up supporting Hogwarts." Magnolia tells Lucille which she understands why. As much as Lucille hated partying, Magnolia really wanted to go.
"Fine, I'll go." Lucille says as Magnolia rushes over to her and hugs her tightly. "Ah!! Thank you!!"
"Keep it on the low though, Cedric would kill me if he found out I was partying, especially with Gryffindorks." Lucille jokes about the name Draco gave them their first year at Hogwarts.
"You mean Gryffinforks?" Magnolia jokes back which causes Lucille to smile and roll her eyes.
Magnolia headed back to her dorm room to start getting ready. She wasn't quite sure where all of her friends were. Draco had sort of been MIA, Daphne had been doing her own thing, and as for Blaise and Theo... they had their reasons to keep their distance from Lucille and Magnolia.
Magnolia had found a dark green mini dress in her closet. She thought about wearing it then realized she would stick out like a sore thumb where everyone else would be wearing red. She went over to her drawer and went through the dresses she had bought at Hogsmeade throughout last year. She found a nice satin red dress that wouldn't make her seem even anything like a Slytherin. She slipped it on and looked at herself in the mirror. She seemed totally different than the dark green robes and colours she wore constantly.
She lightly did her makeup and curled her hair a bit. She tied it back as she examined herself in the mirror. She didn't look like herself at all, she looked as if she was in Gryffindor. She didn't even look like a Malvorseve. Magnolia walked down to the common room as she earned some weird stares from her fellow Slytherins. Magnolia opened the door to see Lucille outside the common room trying out different passcodes seeing if it would let her in. Lucille had been one of the only non-Slytherins allowed in the common room. Snape had given the Ophidians permission as long as she never knew the password. She still tried everytime she would wait outside for them.
"One day I'll guess it correctly Maggie," Lucille says as she follows behind Maggie up to her room. Lucille stops in her tracks as she looks her best friend up and down. "What the?"
"What?" Magnolia says as she doesn't look back at Lucille and kept walking up the stairs to her dorm. "I mean reds a choice!"
"I feel like it would be weird showing up to a Gryffindor party in dark green." Magnolia tells Lucille as Lucille flops on Magnolia's bed. Lucille was wearing a yellow dress that had red flowers on it, and luckily for her, Gryffindors colors were already red and goldish.
"I'm glad Cedric did well today. I'm really worried for him." Lucille confesses as she stares at Magnolia's ceiling. She feels the girl come and sit next to her on the bed.
"It's Cedric, Luc. He'll be fine, Harry's the one we should be worried about." Magnolia tells Lucille who nods. "I mean something weird is going on, how did Harry's name get put in? There's only supposed to be one champion from each school anyway..."
