Annabeth's P.O.V

I wake up in a white room. There is someone hovering over me but the face is blurry.

Maybe I'm still passed out.

The words echo through my brain like a voice in a big tunnel.

As I regain my vision, I realize it is a nurse.

I sit up immediately and the room begins to spin. I hold the edge of the bed.

"Careful! You're dizzy!" the nurse screams. She places an ice pack on my head as someone walks through the door.

Someone I know a little to well.

"What...are....you....doing....here?" I asked. Dang. I can't talk right. The pain must be fogging up my brain.

"Good, you're awake, Annabeth! I was so worried! I saw you passed out by the lockers so I brought you here," Luke said. Why me? Why him? He hasn't given me any privacy since 6th grade.

"When....can I....leave?" I ask the nurse. "Now if you want, but make sure you keep the ice pack on your head. There's no concussion but it is bruising over. You should talk better in about 5 minutes and take it easy." The nurse says.

I stand up, a little dizzy, take the ice pack and walk to my 1st period class. On the way I threw the ice pack in the trash.

A minute later and I'm in front of Ms. Dodds math class.

'Here goes nothing' I think as I twist the doorknob.
