Percy's POV
I listen to the sound of the birds chirping and look down the hallway to the half open door that leads to the guest bedroom, where Annabeth lays. She's asleep with her hair placed somewhat neatly across the bed, curled up in a ball on her side.
A smile makes its way across my face as I go downstairs and pull out frozen blue pancakes and heat some up for both of us.
To get ready for the day, I go upstairs to change, even though it's a Saturday.
After I change into a blue shirt and tattered jeans, I look across the hall to find Annabeth stirring. She sits up, struggling, and looks around the room. I walk over to her, "Morning," I say, causing her to look at me. She smiles, but I can see the pain she's dealing with. "Do you want to come downstairs and get your medicine and breakfast?" I ask her. She nods so I gently help her up and lean he light amount of weight on me so I can help her walk and go down the stairs.
I lead her to the kitchen table, where our food is. Then I hand her a glass of water and her medicine, which she quickly takes.
"What do you want to do today? It's a Saturday," I ask. She shrugs and then I remember that Mocking Jay Part 1 is out. I decide to surprise her. (I know it's not still out and is on DVD. Haven't seen Part 2 so I can't include any scenes, I have read the book though. MY PARENTS SAW PART 2 WITHOUT ME!😭😭😵#FirstWorldProbs)
Time lapse
The movie theater is right down the street so I wheel her down. It's like a block away. "Percy? Where are we going?" She asks me. "It's a surprise," I say. "But I want to know now," she whines. "Sorry, your just going to have to wait."
At the theater
"Mocking Jay part 1," I tell the ticket sales man. Annabeth gasps, "Percy!" She exclaims excitedly. I smile as I wheel her in the theater.
I asked the doctor this morning to make sure it's okay, she said it was fine as long as I check on her to make sure it's not hurting her head.
She's really excited, you can tell. I guess having an abusive father limits your trips to the movie theater.
Annabeth got some stares, being in a wheelchair and all, but she ignored them.
Time lapse
"Thank you so much!" She exclaims, throwing her arms around me. "No problem," I say and wheel her back home.
Eventually it was time for dinner but we skipped it because we were to full on popcorn.
At about 9:30 Annabeth changes and I talk to her while she tries to sleep. As soon as I see her eyelids close, I smile and walk out of the room and into my own.
