As soon as Taehyung heard the news, he cut the connection without saying a word and rushed to the restaurant. His jaw was clenched making the sharp jawline more prominent. There were reasons for him to be extremely mad.
Firstly, he clearly told Koo to take security with them. At least two guards. Secondly, the disappearance of his husband. It triggered his past traumas. Taehyung cannot afford Koo to be lost again like this.
"Speed up," he gritted his teeth. The driver accelerated the car's speed.
"Stop the car at the side," He impatiently told his driver. The man gulped and slowed down, gradually parking the car at the roadside carefully as traffic was quite heavy.
Taehyung asked the man to shift to the back seat and took charge.
He clamped his hands against the steering wheel tightly trying to control the shiver both out of fear and anger, over crossing the fast-running cars expertly. If it's another stunt Koo pulled which he might not, Taehyung decided to make him visit the rats' room in his basement. And if it's someone else trying to harm his family, he'll make them see hell on earth.
The tires screeched on the road when they arrived in front of the restaurant. Taehyung left in zero seconds leaving the car to the driver to park aside.
He forgot to wear mask and people gasped seeing him. He found Jimin right at the counter speaking with his manager.
"Oh taehyung,"
"Did you find him?" The man asked desperately.
Jimin shook his head.
"Vacate the place," Taehyung demanded.
" I just told my manager to put the close sign on entrance. The rest will leave too after dinner. We can't tell them to leave directly, it's unethical. Also, they'll become suspicious." Jimin explained.
"Hmm, tell me the details." With that Taehyung pulled his phone out. He texted Yeonjun to come with Soobin, Kai, and Lucas. Sharing his live location, he attentively listened to what Jimin was saying.
"I was in the kitchen after I left them in the booth. When I returned to them, koo wasn't there. Edward told me he went to the restroom, and we were all busy playing when we realized that Koo should have be back by then. It had been a long time. Then I went to check and he was nowhere to be found." Jimin paused, "I asked the staff one by one. They have zero air of anything."
They climbed the stairs together. Taehyung's sharp gaze was roaming everywhere.
In the booth, Edward was having a hard time keeping the toddlers at peace as they were worried about their momma and wanted him so bad.
When they saw Taehyung, their eyes shone like stars. They thought Koo might be with Tae. Their gaze followed the path behind the man but did not find the sight of Koo.
"Dada, mommie,"
"My momma ish mishin'," Gukkie blinked as his lip turned downward.
"Your momma will be found in a very short time, my cubs. Dada is here now." Taehyung scooped the worried little boys in his arms who instantly clung to his neck. "My loves will go home with Edward uncle and soon I'll be back with Your momma, okay!"
Edward's words chocked down his throat as Taehyung glared at him. All he wanted was to stay but taking babies back home was also important.
"b-but c-cwake," Jun remembered the cake that Jimin uncle promised for. Afterall he was koo's son. How can he forget about food.
"You can eat the cake at home, bub." Taehyung pecked both their cheeks and handed them to Edward. Gukkie was quietly sobbing to himself.
Jimin quickly moved down to the kitchen and handed the cake box to Edward who was waiting outside in the car. Gukkie and Junnie were on the back seat, all secured. As soon as Jimin put the box on the front seat, they drove off.
