What draws you to the paranormal genre?

I would say that what draws me to the paranormal is the way it blurs the line between reality and the impossible. It allows stories to explore fear, hope, love and loss through a lens that feels both magical and unsettling.

What was the first paranormal story you read or watched, and has it inspired any of your works?

Wow, that's a difficult question hahaha. I've been drawn to paranormal stories for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was already obsessed with strange and supernatural stories, watching shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and of course, not to mention every Tim Burton's movie.

What paranormal trope do you secretly love—even if readers roll their eyes?

DEFINITELY vampires falling in love with humans hahaha. I've lost count of how many times I've watched The Vampire Daries. I am absolutely obsessed with that kind of trope (or anything that involves vampires).

What's your process for worldbuilding in the paranormal realm? Where does logic meet lore in your work?

I usually start with the lore. I am fascinated by myths, legends, religious beliefs and old folklore... so I often build the supernatural aspects of my stories around those ideas. Once I have the mythology, I begin asking practical questions: what are the rules, limitations and consequences? That's where logic comes in. I enjoy creating worlds where the paranormal feels extraordinary, but still follows a set of rules that both the characters and readers can understand.

What's the most "serious" research rabbit hole you fell into while writing?

Religious research. I started looking up a few details for my story and somehow ended up reading about theology hahahah.

Ever finished a draft and thought, "This is either genius or a disaster. I'll let the readers decide"?

For sure!!!! I think every writer has at least one manuscript that made them question their own sanity hahaha.

What's your writing process like? Plotter, pantser, somewhere in between?

Somewhere in between. I usually know the major plot points and the ending before I start writing, but I like leaving room for surprises along the way.

Do you believe in real-life paranormal experiences?

I do, but I think many paranormal experiences are filtered through human perception, and perception isn't always reliable.

Which supernatural creature would you most want to meet in real life – and why?

Vampires, without a doubt!!!! I've been obsessed with them for years. There's something fascinating about a creature that combines immortality, mystery, elegance and danger all at once... And why? Well, because I'd want to be turned into a vampire myself hahaha.

What's the biggest challenge when writing supernatural elements?

For me, the biggest challenge is making the supernatural feel believeble. Readers don't need to believe vampires, demons or ghosts are real, but they do need to believe they could exist within the world of the story.

Many of your stories feature queer main characters. Do you find that queer stories thrive in more fringe genres like paranormal and horror?

Not at all!!! I simply combined two things I love: queer characters and paranormal stories. I do not think queer stories belong to any particular genre. They belong to all genres.

How conscious are you of stereotypes and tropes when you are writing?

I am definitely aware of them, but, I don't let them stop me from wiriting the story I want to tell. Tropes exist because readers enjoy them, and honestly, I enjoy many of them as well hahah. What matters to me is making the characters feel authentic rather than worrying about avoiding every trope. If a trope serves the story, I am happy to use it.

What's one fun or random fact about you that might surprise readers?

I was born on Halloween hahahah. Considering how much I love paranormal stories, vampires and all things supernatural, I like to think I was destined for the genre from the very beginning.

What other Wattpad authors or books in the genre do you admire?

I greatly admire both High_Priestess_Elena who wrote an entire saga centered around witches and AlikatMeow, who blends paranormal elements with crime and mystery. I highly recommend both authors to anyone who enjoys paranormal fiction.

Any upcoming projects you want to tease?

Oh yes, absolutely! I am planning to write a new romance that will take place in the world of Redemptio hahahah.
