"Are you kidding me, Liu?" Jeff asked lazily. Him, Liu, Jane, and Sally were standing outside of a abandoned house. It was pouring rain and everyone was in boots and hoodies. Liu did want to change locations, even though everyone was confident that Jeff killed slender. He didn't want to take the risk of the man coming back for his niece. So, in order to try to put himself at ease, he was showing Jane and Jeff some houses he found. Sally just happened to sneak along.
She wasn't even paying attention. She was slipping, sliding, cartwheeling, flipping, and turning in the mud outside. Her dress was getting ruined a long with her hair.
"Sally, please stop." Liu called. She ignored his command and continued on with her fun.
"Its pretty nice." Jane grimaced.
"Its pretty shit." Jeff coughed. Liu glared his way and he shrugged.
"Come on, Jeff. The last house was pretty bad, but that least this one is still standing. And it looks like everything's in place." Jane defended.
"Plus," Liu added, "We could fix anything that's not right. Transfer locks, doors, repair walls, all and all."
"That sounds like a lot of work." Jeff groaned.
"Says the guy who jumped four feet to kill somebody."
"....point taken."
"Liu," Jane said, "how many houses are left?"
"Just two. If you guys don't like them we'll just settle on this." They agreed on that being the best thing, and went off to venture to the next house.
_____________
The last house that was shown to them was the best, Jeff's opinion. There were different little shed like buildings in the back yard. Inside the house there were still enough rooms for everyone, the kitchen was in tact, the water worked, all of the above.
"Why does nobody want this house?!" Jeff asked, enthusiastically.
"Probably cause its in the middle of nowhere." Jane snickered, Jeff lightly pushed her and laughed back.
Liu was trying to get a hold of Sally, Jane was on the phone with Sadie, and Jeff was exploring the basement. He was just doing his own thing when his eyes darted to a full body mirror. He wasn't sure if what he was seeing was real or not but he would swear it was. On the mirror; was mangled, slit throat, in theory dead slender man. His blood was still fresh on his body. Streams of new blood even emerged from his wounds.
I'm slight fear and totally reflex, Jeff swung his legs backwards at the mirror; shattering it instantly. The rest of the group quickly came down to the appealing and slight startling sound.
"Jeff, why'd you do that?" Jane asked. They stared, waiting for an answer. But Jeff just stood there; his breath slightly panicking and his chest heaving, his fist up in their fighting positions. He regained his thoughts and told everyone he just thought he saw a spider.
And they left it at the spider. Even though there was no spider. So, they ventured back home to discuss the next housing situations.
