Imagine you are just now getting out of prison, or you're on leave finally, and Tom is there for you .

Leah, " I step out of my holding cell the guards push me forward and I start walking with my hands in chains, I bet you guys are finally happy I'm going to be free huh? I remark as they keep pushing to walk.

Guard 1 " You'll be back honey it's only a matter of time . "

Leah, " Just out of curiosity," who bailed me out? "

Guard 2, it doesn't matter. Just keep walking. I say, shoving her forward still. "

Leah, " I keep walking until finally they exonerate me a few hours later... and I'm stepping out without cuffs on as soon as i do. I breathed in the fresh air it was stuffy as hell in that place. The air was so thick and awful, I grabbed my bag and slung it across my shoulder. I kept walking until I saw cars parked in a parking lot and until I saw a familiar blue Mustang. "

Tom " I standing there leaning against my car , my hands in my pockets I then look up and that's when I see her ' I'm both relieved and a little worried I had no idea how she'd be after she got out of prison. "

Leah, " I see Tom and I freeze. I drop my bag, and I just stare at him, not really knowing what to say. we kinda just stared at each other for a long time.' "

Tom" Leah, I smile, giving her a polite friendly nod . Wow, it's good to see you again, kid,"

Leah " Tom... what the hell are you doing here? I thought we were finished, um, you know, after my trial and the way everyone made me out to be guilty, I cross my arms over my chest .

Tom" Leah, come on, we didn't know it would go down that way. You have to believe me in that "

Leah" actually no i don't believe you. You all hurt me, especially when you guys didn't take my side, I look away. "

Tom, " I did take your side. I even broke rules and tampered with evidence to try and bust you out of prison, but they stopped me . Damn it, Leah, I care about you, and I don't want our friendship ruined over this terrible thing that happened. I just look at her. I see how tired and worn down she is it breaks my heart. "

Leah, " I sigh it doesn't matter anymore. I'm out, and I get to start my life over. I'm leaving this place, and I'm not coming back,"

Tom" My hand shoots out , I grab her arm I make her look at me Leah I start out with her name , stop this you can't run away from your problems ' yes you got blamed for something you were probably innocent for but please stay here if it's not for them please stay for me I know I can help you I say looking into her eyes I take a tiny step closer invading her space I rub her arms "

Leah, how will you help me? "

Tom" I know you Leah, I'll help you in some way, I promise."

Leah" Fine, I won't leave, but I'm holding you to that promise."

Tom" atta girl, that's the Leah. I know, come on, sweetheart, I'll take you home.

Leah" I stare up at my house as soon as I hear Tom turn the keys off and I feel his car shut off for good , I dread going inside it was going to be so quiet than I looked back at him "

Tom" What's wrong? "

Leah " Nothing, I'm just not sure I want to be alone again."

Tom" Oh I run a hand through my hair. uh well, I really wish there was something I could do that would make you feel more comfortable."

Leah, " I look at him. Can you come in with me and maybe stay a while just until I feel ok enough? "

Tom" Sure, I can do that. "

Leah" You really think I'm a bad person for doing drugs, Tom? "

Tom" no I wouldn't say you are a bad person I just think it was more shocking than anything but you aren't defined by it Leah sure you went to prison but that's over now Okey? "

Leah, I hope you're right then I get out of his car. "

Tom" I wait till she unlocks the door and I go inside setting her bag down, by the couch umm so you want me to check for the boogeyman ? "

Leh" No I smile I'm not that scared "

Tom" I laugh, good because I was beginning to think I'd have to check under your bed like you were a toddler I joke "

Leah" No I scoff than I walk over to my couch and sit on it I make a small groan my muscles and everything was so sore , I'll have to get used to this level of comfort again I close my eyes "

Tom" I chuckle and I walk over sitting down next to her , I definitely missed you're comments on everything " .

Leah" I smile I open my eyes and I look at Tom ' did you bail me out?"

Tom" Yeah I sorta did it was the right thing to do besides I was saving up for the bail money every chance I could get every day I just was so angry you were in there and there was nothing I could do about it I'm sorry Leah I really am for what you had to go through " .

Leah" It's alright besides I came out the other end just find anyways I shrug, " .
