Elizabeth

My conversation with Draco on Christmas Day bothered me all week, and now it was the day I was about to get on the train back to Hogwarts. I didn't even have the time to enjoy my winter holiday off from school, I was too busy thinking about Draco and what he said to me. I remembered seeing how hurt he looked and how  could tell there was fear behind his eyes.  He was so honest with me.  He'd never spoken to me that much before. I understood him completely, and my heart broke for him.  Seeing someone I'd known forever cry like that, no matter how rude they might've been, made me want to cry as well. I've been thinking about it all week, and I think I had an idea.

If Draco kills Dumbledore, he would never live with himself. He would be even more broken then he already was, and I honestly didn't want to see him like that.

So I was going to kill Dumbledore so Draco didn't have to.

But in order to do that, I had to see Narcissa and make the Unbreakable Vow with her.

An Unbreakable Vow is a magical spell of unknown incantation in which one wizard or witch makes an oath to another. If either of the two break their terms...they die.

The Vow is cast by having two parties standing opposite each other and clasping right hands. A third must hold their wand, standing quite close to the pair holding hands, and place the tip of their wand onto the linked hands, as Bonder. Then, the first will ask a certain number of vows of the other, with the second accepting those terms; it is unknown what happens if he or she declines. Each time a term is accepted a thin stream of fire will be emitted from the Bonder's wand, weaving around the hands of the pair taking the vows.

I inhaled deeply, grabbed my black cloak off my coat hook and put it on, along with my black rain boots with fur inside.

I stuck my wand in the inside pocket of my cloak, even though students weren't allowed to magic outside of school, but I would bring it just in case.

I walked down the stairs and towards the front door, hopefully unnoticed. But my father caught me.

"Where are you going?"  He asked gruffly.

"Out."  I replied, and began to open the door.

"Elizabeth!"  My dad started.  I turned in annoyance and crossed my arms.

My dad sighed.

"Be careful."

I rolled my eyes and went outside, slamming the door shut behind me for emphasis.

It was pouring rain out, so I quickly put the hood of my cloak over my head and since I couldn't Apperate myself yet, I ran to Malfoy Manor.  We didn't live that far away from each other, to be honest, the walk/run was about 25-30 minutes.  Once I arrived at the gates of the manor, I sped up a little once the gate opened and I ran for the door.

I knocked on the wooden knocker and the door almost instantly opened. I almost sighed with relief when I saw Narcissa appear at the door.

She seemed surprised to see me.

"Elizabeth, hello! Are you looking for Draco? Because he just went out."

I shook my head.

"No, actually...I was looking for you."

Narcissa nodded slowly with a confused expression.

"Well, come in, why don't you? You're shivering and your cloak is soaking wet. I'll get you some tea-" And she led me inside the manor and to the parlor, taking my wet cloak off of me and putting it by the fire to warm. With a swish of her wand, a tea tray holding a kettle, two mugs, a pitcher of milk and a bowl of sugar cubes appeared.
