ElizabethThe tall and spiky black gates of Malfoy Manor greeted us as we arrived by Apperation. I quickly let go of Bellatrix's arm and stepped away from her, behind the others.
Bellatrix pointed her wand at the gate and they swung open, allowing us to enter.
I walked quickly behind them all as we hurried down the gravel drive up to the entrance of the manor. Bellatrix didn't even bother to knock, she just opened the door and let herself in, beckoning for us to follow.
Draco slowed down his pace so he could walk next to me as we headed into the main area of the manor. We were greeted by my mother and father, Narcissa and...
"Lucius!" Bellatrix said in a surprised voice. "You're back."
I looked at Lucius. His long white blond hair was matted, the bones in his face were hollowed and he had extremely dark circles under his tired looking eyes.
I saw Draco shrink back, probably ashamed of what happened and not wanting to face his father.
"The Dark Lord broke me and the other Death Eaters out of Azkaban early this afternoon." Lucius said.
"Well, I never- why didn't you send an owl, or something? Letting us know you'll be back?" asked Bellatrix.
"I didn't know I would be getting out. It was just a shock to me as it is to you. I thought I'd be left in Azkaban to rot. I thought I'd never see any of you ever again." Lucius' voice cracked at this last part and Narcissa patted his arm comfortingly.
He regained his composure rather quick though, and his icy eyes landed on his son.
"Hello, Draco." He said coolly.
"Father, I-" Draco breathed.
"Don't. You've failed our family, and you've failed the Dark Lord. There's nothing more to say." said Lucius.
Draco bowed his head and stepped back even further.
"Are we done here?" Fenir asked impatiently, tapping his foot on the marble floor.
"Go." Bellatrix ordered. Fenir and the other Death Eaters apperated in a flash, and it was just the Malfoys, Bellatrix, my parents and me.
"Elizabeth." My mother said, coming towards me and hugging me.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and closed my eyes, feeling grateful that she was alive and well, and here with me.
For now, at least.
We pulled away and she tucked a piece of stray hair behind my ear.
"Are you alright?" She asked me.
I nodded.
"I'm fine, Mum." I said. I guess I didn't sound very convincing because she asked me again.
"I'm fine."
She let go of me now and stepped next to my father once more. I looked at him as he came to hug me.
"You did well, darling." He said. I wrenched myself out of his grasp and walked away from him.
Narcissa gave me a warm smile and pulled me in for a hug. "I'm just glad you and Draco are both safe." She said.
